After settling in osas picked up the phone and called her mom to tell her she had arrived in Lagos safely and also to speak to Ivie
The phone rang for a long while before Ivie picked the call
"Hello aunty Osas "
Hearing Ivie's voice ,Osas felt so relieved
"Hey baby! How are you?"
"Am fine! Aunty Osas where did you go nah. You just left without telling anybody "
"Sorry I had to rush this morning it was very urgent "
"Which is very urgent"
"It's nothing serious am just trying to do something new"
"Why are you trying to do something new"
"It's for grown up reasons that I can't share with"
Ivie scoffs
"So where are you now. Can I come and visit you"
"No! Ivie not really am actually in Lagos"
"Ahhh ah why? What do you go and do in Lagos"
"I told you I came here to try something new" she cleared her throat
"Something new like what?" Osas clears her throat
This is what she gets for having a smarty pants for a daughter

"Why are you looking for a job"
"Ivie! Why else do people look for job. To make money nah"
"I don't understand but I thought mommy is paying you"
"Yes she is but it's not nearly enough and besides you know my other job the one that I learnt is not very lucrative in Warri that's why I came to Lagos to find better opportunities "
"Hmm! I see! But why did you nah disappear like a thief in the middle of the night"
"Is that what mommy said " it does sound like something her mom would say
"Hmm Hmm!"
"Oya give her the phone lemme talk to her"
"She's in the kitchen "
"Then go to kitchen and give her the phone "
"Aunty osas talk to me pls, i don't like that you left without telling me"
"I wanted to but it was a quick decision "
"So when will you be back"
"I don't know yet"
"But you can't stay there forever "
"No I can't, I'll be back before you know it"
"Or wait?.... Did you go to Lagos so that you can say you have reached Lagos before me"
Osas chuckled
"Silly girl that's not why"
"No problem if you are still in Lagos when I come for the spelling bee competition. We will link up "

"Yes nah! We will meet in one of those fancy places in Lagos"
"Okay! Ivie I need to talk to mommy "
"You didn't even ask me about the test I took today"

"It went well but two of the questions were very hard"
