Two weeks into the job osas has started looking into other options, Truly the job was great, she got to work more and meet new people everyday
One of her customers told her about the increasing search for good nail technician on the island and that she knows a place where they pay well
Osas thought about it., she has been following through Mz.Wendy's page and it's obvious that they are always on the island apparently they moved to Lagos not too long ago before their engagement
And because she doesn't know her way around in Lagos she has not been able to track down some of those places Wendy posts on her Instagram story
So her customer who works on the island took her to the saloon and it was very uniquely designed unisex saloon and their services were more exclusive and expensive
The pay was twice better but Ejiro told her she was going to spend most of her salary on transportation but Osas didn't mind. This is closer to finding Raphael than before
It wasn't as easy as she thought it would be
She has been in Lagos for over two weeks and it has been hectic hell. Going back and forth, her work doesn't even give her time to do her searchBut even when she tries io track down some of the fancy restaurants that Wendy visits she is never there when osas goes out to find her so is just like wasting money and things here are very costly on the island especially food.
Feeding herself for just two weeks cost more than she expected and before she knew it she had run down her savings
In her new job things were even more costly. The food they sell in lekki was very expensive atimes she had to go hungry the whole day or eat biscuit and water
Ejiro was right about the transport fee it was driving a wedge through the little money Osas had left and honestly she was already beginning to regret the job switch
One day osas was at work thinking about her life
At the rate of her decline she might have to start borrowing moneyOne of her colleagues Bidemi noticed she has been absent minded and lost in thought so she decided to check up on her
"Osas! Are you okay ? You look worried, did something happen "
"Who? Me? No am fine"
"You don't look fine , talk to me Whatsup "
Osas sighed she might as well just talk to someone before she loses her mind
"Tell me how do you cope coming all the way from your house to this place everyday. Shey you stay on the mainland too"
"Yes! My house is at ikorodu but I have a friend I scot with in obalende area"
"So it's not too far from here"
"No! It's not so during my off days I go home to be with my family "
"But you have two kids"
"Yes I do..."
"Does it not bother you that they'll be alone"
"They are with their dad and my mom visits from time to time. I know it's hard but am doing this for them "
"Wow! Your husband is very understanding oo"
"It's not like we have a choice we have to jungle odd jobs together to put food on the table. "
"But your kids there are still little. They need you around"
"I know but what can I do, that's why
I made an arrangement with manager I'll work 10days straight and get 3days off so I can go be with my family. I wish there was a better way but until I get a better job I'm going to have to work with what I have"
