Halfway down the Martel bottle they were both pretty tipsy and sitting comfortably on the couch next to each other

"Why were you and your friends picking on Grace though I mean she's pretty harmless"

"Grace Ebenezer, smartest kid in the whole school her brain must be wired like a computer coz I don't think there is anything she doesn't know" Raphael chuckles

"My grandma literally forced us to be friends with her she kept saying she's good influence but I know it's because she's very intelligent and well behaved"

"Too intelligent that it is always getting her in trouble coz she made the rest of us look like idiots, sometimes it is almost like she's the one doing the learning and teaching. I think it was maths class that fateful day when she answered a question our teacher threw at me and I completely blank out I think he was saying something about Pythagoras theorem and I had no idea what that is, of course grace stepped in and answered effortlessly but that kind of act is punishable by the law in our own chambers so we followed her to her estate and the rest is history"

"The last I heard of her she actually finished medical school and is a neurosurgeon now plus she's also married"

"I am not even surprised her dad is a doctor too if she was wasn't saving the world then all her brain will be underutilized " Raphael laughed

"No wonder you assumed I was doctor too"
She shrugged "intelligent people can do well in other professions too"

"Funny enough guess where I heard Pythagoras theorem recently..... from your daughter, she was doing her assignment the other day and I randomly asked what she was working on. Thank God she didn't ask for my help coz that shit literally kicked me out of school she doesn't even ask for my help when it comes to homework I think she already knows that her mother is a certified Olodo"
They burst into laughter

"I don't think you are an olodo you have your own strengths too"

"Exactly my daughter is solving it with ease now"

"That young lady is so brilliant and she's very eager to learn. One day she was just helping me sort out my files in the right order and I was so shocked I asked how she was able to do it and she said she has heard me instruct my secretary on how to do it several times so she just picked up on it meanwhile my secretary still have problems sorting it out till now"

"Trust me she has done things that just amuses me so much that I can't grasp my mind around how she's so young yet so smart. If I wasn't her mother I would doubt her age everyday coz when I was her age I didn't know jerk and now half the things that I know she taught me so it's mind blowing what our daughter can do"

"We definitely created magic together, Isabel is a blessing we didn't see coming"

"I don't know what I have done in my lifetime to deserve her, she's perfect. Do you know Ivie started representing her school in competitions when she was four. They took her to this nursery rhymes competition and she was always topping grabbing those words quicker than any child her age but along the line she had chicken pox and we couldn't finish the competition.
Ha! That chicken pox gave us quite a scare she couldn't walk or stand, it took over her whole body. The chicken pox got infected somehow and instead of the wounds to dry up and heal it started spreading and the pain was so much, she would cry all through the night unable to sleep. My mom and I would take turns to fan her coz apparently the air eases the pain and we hardly ever had electricity and there was not enough money to get her admitted in the hospital. I used to pray every night for God to transfer the pain to me there is nothing worse for her mother than to see her child live in so much pain. It was such a tough period for us. I had to double my hustle, I was working as a cleaner in the bank and then occasionally helping people to wash their clothes, I would wash until my hands were white and stiff, I took any menial job just so I could earn enough money.
Fortunately the chicken pox healed on it own but my mom likes to think it was her prophet that did the trick it was one month of hell but thankfully we overcame it, Ivie was able to continue with her grade class d she's so smart and could keep up with the pace and even do better than most of the kids in her class
That's why I told myself that whatever it takes I was going to give my girl the best, coz she deserves nothing but the best. The best education, the best teachers the best environment so that nothing can stop her from flying or chip off her wings I want her to utilize the best opportunity to achieve greatness to the fullness, I don't even know if that makes sense"
