A week had passed... I was liberated from the bed and free to roam the apartment. They removed the thick cast on my chest and my wounds were all healed. That morning, Gerold woke me up after a long night, exhausted from my constant partying. Many people would beg to have a party with the winner of the games and up to now on, I've had like, four I think. "Ink, it's time to go."

I springed out of bed, seeing Pastel was my only motivation for every action. I slipped on the pink dress, it was beautiful since they have added a few new features like sparkles. They also accented the candy bird on my garment. I spun around in front of a mirror, admiring the better version of it.

"You look wonderful. It's time to eat now."

I went to the table graciously prepared for me. On it laid a stew of beef, graciously prepared and topped with a fatty, greasy sauce that seemed to taste amazing.

"This is the last meal you'll eat before the train so we prepared your favorites."

"Ooo."

I looked around to see that weird vegetable and dumpling soup that I tried on the first day. There was also the chocolate lava cake, this time with a coulis of other types of berries. "Did you really need to prepare that much food?"

"..."

He looked sad. His expression was more depressing than usual. "You're sad to see me go?"

"Yeah..."

He began eating some of the food with me, both of us laughing at jokes. It was wonderful.

When I finished, I placed the colourful plates near the sink and looked back. The beautifully dark cabinets and marble counters will miss me, so will the rooms with the cozy chairs, fluffy carpets and plush pillows. The closet also had me interested, I've never seen one so big.

Gerold guided me to the elevator where we descended once more. Outside, I waited for a limousine, shiny, white and clearly polished. It came after a few minutes of holding on and I said my goodbyes to my representative for now. I'm sure we will see each other again. "Good luck Ink."

Then the door closed and we began driving off.

I sipped my chocolate milk while staring at the rising, sunny sky. It was flawless, no clouds in sight as the hue of pink, purple, blue and orange mixed like a canvas painted on by only the best of artists. I was glad my desk faced the rest of the city since the view was astonishing, purely breathtaking. Sometimes Cross walked into my room, demanding to go outside, into the city. He seemed committed to his new date that he had met a few weeks ago which made me proud of him. He was a role citizen with nothing to hide and an amazing sense of logic. I thought he would ask me the same question again but he surprised me.

"Dad. I watched the interview yesterday. May I go to the tribute's tower?" "No, the winner is already on their way to the station."

"Aww, okay. Can I still take a walk?"

"Sure."

Then he wished me an amazing day and walked off, discreetly closing the door behind him. I took a seat at my own desk and began working on the recent projects. My assistant bolted in, almost late, like usual.

"M-Mr X... a-are you sure you w-want to initiate the project?"

"Yes. Make that double yes. This one is special."

"W-What about t-the public?"

"Don't worry, we'll just propagate and provide everyone with fake news. Coming from the NCP, everyone will believe it."

Everything was going smoothly as the team of scientists walked in, putting freshly worked documents onto my desk, making me analyze each one with attention. It's perfect... amazingly irreproachable.

I watched the city go by, with all its inhabitants, the attractions and different, huge variety of stores within the main mall. I felt like a different person, a diva in a limousine being prepared for their special episode of their own show. It was all beautiful... until I noticed that the driver passed the train station, where I was supposed to be dropped off.

"Ummm... I think you just missed the stop."

No answer, they looked at me using the rearview mirror then kept driving in the same direction. It's fine, they'll just use the next autoroute to lead me to the station, not a big deal. Something fishy was going on as they turned the opposite way and I began to panic. Quickly trying to open the doors.

"Let me out!"

I had flashbacks to the doctors that came to see me. It was weird that they noted everything down and wished me 'good recovery' when they walked ou-... they weren't doctors... They were scientists.

"Please let me go!"

I kept screaming but to no avail, this vehicle was gun and sound proof for a reason. From the speakers, a gas was ejected, making me feel woozy again. It reminded me of the time me and Reaper were in the elevator... and that pain... oh no.

The last thing I could remember was the car stopping and it turning all black.

"The subject has been controlled."

My reptilian assistant stated, receiving a voice call from the others. "Perfect..."

I chuckled. Ready for the best in the next few years.
