Cross P.o.V
The train never came to pick Ink up... neither did the limousine. I have to tell all of this to my dad!
I sprinted in the streets before seeing the car itself with Ink banging on the windows, crying. Our eyes met for a second before he was taken away again. I didn't know what was going to happen so my first instinct was to return home immediately and tell X what had happened.
I pushed through the crowd piled up in front of the soon opening stores and got recognized by a few who begged me to sign their heads. I said 'maybe another time' then rushed home where the secretary seemed preoccupied with my expression.
"What's going on Cross?"
She asked. I was actually close to the clerk taking care of the building.
"I need to talk to my dad, now!"
"Oh my... he's in a meeting. Mind telling me what happened? It'll calm you down."
"Ink got kidnapped by the limousine driver!"
"Wow, you should tell your dad now, you know how much he cares about the winners! That'll screw up his entire schedule."
She gave the elevator key as I threw myself in the shaft, clicking the top floor. Something in the back of my mind was telling me that all of this was planned, the train wasn't there in the first place...
When the lift stopped, I forced the doors open and rushed to his office but voices caught my attention and I stayed quiet.
"The experiment has been controlled. We will begin phase 1 of tests..."
That was enough to get me enraged. How dare they do this to someone who just went through something this bad.
Ink P.o.V
When I woke up, I was posited on the freezing cold flooring of a room that was completely white. My clothes were changed into a more 'formal' type of outfit... basically a white shirt with the same coloured pants. I didn't have shoes, a scarf or any of my bags. I felt sick to my stomach, the white making me nervous.
I ran to a corner of the room then threw up everything I could. It was disgusting. When I stepped back, I noticed that the room had a tiny blanket in another corner and a small mirror, protected by some type of barrier. Obviously, if you were stuck in this insane asylum, I bet you not that suicide is your best way to escape.
The opening of the door startled me as a tall human with guards came in. "I see you're getting used to your temporary home."
"What are you doing to me?!"
I shouted as he kept his silence. When the two Peacekeepers lookalikes approached me, I ran backwards trying to avoid them but they gripped roughly on my arms and threw me frontwards.
"Amazing, what a marvelous creature you are. Guards, please attach the SPD to him as quickly as possible."
SPD? I asked myself as one held my hands behind my back and the other wrapped some metallic thing around my neck, securing it many times.
"Now, just to get some sense into you, this is a shock collar."
He pressed the small green button on his remote and a small shock was felt all over my body, bothering me immensely. I couldn't help but snap all of my hatred and anger for the Capitol into this one.
"DO I LOOK LIKE YOUR FUCKING DOG?!"
I tried ripping it off but it was too strong. "TAKE IT OFF-"
A small shock was felt again but a little longer. "Do that again and I'll actually shock you."
