My first few speeches were fine, just me having to memorize something for two days and saying it... soon came the time that I would reach my own district and I would pretend to know what I was saying, reciting my own version of the speech in my head. Of course, we missed five and we will miss eight because of damage... less talking for me to do.

I was still being watched but let's say the guards were too busy speaking to each other rather than actually doing what they were told to. Gerold and Itsaso were usually arguing on the locomotive as I stayed in the back, busy. I practised keeping my emotions concealed because that would play an important role in how I was going to project the changed up commentary.

"UGH, DID YOU JUST PUSH ME?"

The female screeched, drawing attention to herself once more.

"WHATCHA GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?"

"REMEMBER THE SONG SEVEN RINGS? MORE LIKE SEVEN LAWSUITS GOING YOUR WAY SIS."

I rolled my eyes at their ironic dialogues. They still made me laugh when times were terrible. After a day or so, I felt the moving vehicle come to a stop as I stood up with joy and saw no other than my family outside the door. I know they'd see my scars all over my own body but this was the purpose of the dress.

"Mom! Dad! Pastel!"

I rushed out of the train and threw myself into a big hug with all of them. It was so emotional as I sobbed happily, seeing them all was so warming.

"We... we missed you son."

"Missed ya Inky."

I noticed that Pastel grew a lot, his voice deepened a little and he seemed more mature. He could say the same for me, this experience has changed all of us for the better and for the worst. We began speaking all together as the adults and guards seemed more concentrated on discussing future plans.

Me and my friend just stared at each other, a blush filled look and a smirk across our face, we subconsciously knew what we were going to do. When no one was watching, I outran the guards, went to the back of the station with my best friend and just kissed him. He seemed shocked by it but wasn't refusing any of those tender embraces.

"I-I can't e-explain on how much I missed you!"

My friend sobbed into my dress as I cuddled with him. "I thought of you every day."

He passed his hands on my scar infested back... it still hadn't fully healed yet so it hurt like crazy... something about touch in that area made me want to puke.

"D-Don't touch there, please..."

"Oh my... where did you get those? I didn't see that during the games! Even at the end!"

A tear rolled down my face as he simply kissed my cheek after that. "So many questions... you promise to tell me what happened later?"

He caressed my cheek. "Yes."

I didn't know how to explain it. Once the Peacekeepers caught up, they surprised Pastel, knowing exactly where I was.

"This way Mr Comyet."

They surrounded us. "Okay."

I stood up and grabbed my best friend's hand then walked back to the ocre station. He whispered in my non-existent ear.

"Guess this makes us boyfriends now~"

I smiled and looked back. "There's nothing wrong with that!"

I cheered enthusiastically as we walked back. I turned around and put both of my hands on Pastel's shoulders.

"I'm only staying here for a day or so... I'll see you in... hmm."

I thought of the answer as my lover just responded with ease. "A week, seven days."

"Yeah!"

We chuckled as Gerold and Itsaso were begging me to leave with their facial expressions. I walked up to them as we started strolling the opposite way. My boyfriend yelled.

"Happy birthday, Ink!"

Ah yes, my own birthday... How could I forget? I grinned back at him then was turned around by the Peacekeepers guarding me, tapping my back and making me squeal in pain. When I got to the small, run down motel, Gerold smiled.

"This is where we'll be staying for now. Meals and rooms are on me!"

He stumbled to the entrance as Itsaso seemed disgusted, keeping her hands near her and jumping at the sight of anything gross. She whimpered like a child.

"Are you trying to assassinate us?!"

"Yep, that was the point."

He murmured sarcastically but she took it seriously. "Relax, damn you are one dumb woman."

I laughed out loud as we entered the log cabin. This place was like home to people who wanted a break of the real world. There were spas in the back and fancy rooms, not as much as the Capitol's but it still qualified amazingly for the scarce resources we have here. It's prices are astronomic but a weekend here feels like heaven.

I was given a small room for a grand price of 50$ and it was worth it. I quickly changed into my outfit I'd be wearing tomorrow; a suit with a candy bird charm on the veston's pocket which looked amazing with the darkened magenta colour of the clothes itself. I heard a knock on the door as I was called for supper.

I sat down at the long table with my representatives and began munching down the ham and pancake wrap. We usually had those around here and it did taste quite amazing.

"How do you eat that?!"

Itsaso shreaked, not used to not having Capitol's meals. I mean, it did taste like plastic compared to the high quality food they have over there but it was still good and reminded me of home. Gerold grumbled.

"Stop bothering the poor boy."

Then, he took a big goble of the syrup crepes and beef. Itsaso simply tossed her plate to the side and ate the vegetables.

When we finished, we watched an old movie... perhaps from 20XX? It was interesting and I haven't seen anything like it before. I went back to the bedchamber, changed into those white pjs they prepared me and drifted off to sleep calmly.
