Chapter 49

3rd Person's POV:

~~~~~ 1 Month Later ~~~~~

Minho was frustrated. He sighed after almost every minute. Bang Chan eyed him from time to time from the rear-view mirror as well. "You know you have just broken the record of most sighs in an hour." He said to lighten him mood but received another sigh in response. "Shut up, Bang." He calmly said.

Last week, Minho had an argument with his grandfather. He wanted to talk to him and tell him clearly that he doesn't like Suzy, and he is also not going to attend tonight's family dinner. The normal conversation soon became heated and leading to his grandfather saying something, that made Minho forcibly agree to him.

He looked at his phone, which was vibrating and saw Hana calling. He immediately declined the call and switched off his phone. He was also trying to avoid Hana and Jungkook at every rate that is possible. He was internally debating. He wanted to rebel, but also wanted to sort things maturely.

They soon reached at Choi's residence and Minho went inside followed by Chan. He was greeted by and overly excited Yeonjun, who hugged him tightly. "Welcome my soon-to-be brother-in-law! This is our first official whole family dinner!" Minho felt that Yeonjun is upto something by his smile and tone in his voice, as if he was either mocking him or is going to pull some stunt at tonight's dinner.

"Nice to meet you too, Yeonjun." Minho said while forcing a smile as he really didn't want to be there. "Either do a genuine smile or don't smile at all. This one look fake." Yeonjun smirked at him and guided the bored and uninterested Minho where others were gathered.

Minho bowed to the Choi's and nodded at his own family. He went and casually sat beside Yeonjun. His mother threw a worried look at him, and he nodded, signaling her that he is okay, when in fact he was far from that.

They sat down at the dining table and Minho noticed the extra chairs that were also arranged. "There will be someone else coming as well to join us for tonight." Mr. Choi nodded, and Mrs. Choi rolled her eyes in discreet, but it didn't go unnoticed by Minho.

Yeonjun leaned towards Minho. "Who do you think the guest will be?" He whispered and Minho shrugged and Yeonjun smirked at him. Yeonjun turned to his brother and said something to them. Minho glanced at Suzy, who was sitting quietly in front of him. Since the moment he entered, Suzy avoided his gaze and didn't say anything to him. "Can we talk for a moment?" He asked her.

She nodded and took his hands and guided them outside the dining room. Others eyed them but said nothing. "Where are they going?" Boemgyu asked Soobin and Yeonjun. "No idea." Soobin replied. "Don't worry about anything. She is at a disadvantage here. We have to just follow the things we need to do. Don't dare to forget the lines that we practiced for this day. Okay?" Both Soobin and Boemgyu nodded and smiled at him.

Suzy took Minho to her room. She closed the door and turned to him with crossed arms over her chest. "Speak." She commanded. Minho rolled his eyes. "Quit it." He monotonously said. "Quit what?" She asked him and shrugged. Minho sighed. "Quit playing dumb." He said while glaring at her. She scoffed. "Shall I? Okay. So, tell me," She walked closer to him, "Why are you cheating on me?" She said while looking straight into his eyes.

This time Minho scoffed. "I cheated? Well, now you have a reason to call off this marriage. So go and cancel it." He said and Suzy clenched her jaw. "Why would I?" She said and Minho looked at her. "Because the idiot you are engaged to is in madly love with another woman and he will never ever, let me repeat," He stepped closer with a fire look in his eyes, "he will never ever love you." He pointed to her.

Suzy gulped and looked away from him. "If you are that eager to not marry me, then why don't you call this off yourself?" She said with a smirk, and he clenched his jaw. "You know why I'm doing this, and you are the only one who can call this marriage, but still, you are choosing to be with someone who doesn't even likes your presence? Unbelievable. I know you don't have any common sense, but at least have some self-respect." He said and Suzy looked him back in his eyes.
