Chapter 73 ~ Secrets Discovered

(Our chapter today starts in the sewers, where the Time Twins and their Vermillion army are bringing Wu to their Dome of Doom.)

Krux: Such balance. Such power. When Ninjago is finally under our rule, they will sing songs about our triumph today, brother.

Acronix: Oh, you're so right, brother. (He looks back.) How you doing back there, Wu? (He laughs when he doesn't get an automatic response.) Perhaps he's gone deaf with old age.

Wu: Unfortunately, no. I can hear every one of your attempts at humour.

Machia: (She pushes Wu forward.) Move it, old man.

Acronix: (As they continue to walk through the sewers.) There is still something on my mind about how those siblings ended up here in the first place.

Krux: (He laughs.) Let us just say there was a, how you say, escape from the Cursed Realm and a Departed Day that went a bit differently. (He mutters to himself.) For one of them anyway.

Acronix: Huh? 

Krux: Nothing, just something about our little Master of Magic doesn't quite add up... (He shakes his head while Wu looks up a bit confused.) Raggmunk, Blunck, over here. As you know, my brother and I had been worried about the leadership of the Vermillion warriors. And this mission certainly did not go as planned. The idea was simply to obtain the Time Blade. (He then turns to Wu who's looking down.) But now we are carrying a prisoner.

Blunck: Here it comes...

Raggmunk: (Covers a smile) Someone's in trouble...

Acronix: Commander Machia, your initiative in capturing the Ninja's Master impressed us. You are promoted to the rank of Supreme Commander of the Vermillion Army.

Machia: I am honored.

Krux: Commanders Blunck and Raggmunk will report directly to you.

Raggmunk: What? Undeserved.

Blunck: So unfair.

Machia: Did you say something?

Raggmunk: Well deserved.

Blunck: So unfair...that it took so long!

Wu: Isn't all this celebrating and promoting a bit premature? My Ninja are still out there.

Krux: Eighth of them against all this? (He chuckles, gesturing to the Vermillion Army.) They have no technology. They have no Time Blades. They have no chance.

Wu: They have their powers and each other. Something only the both of you could wish for. 

Acronix: (He crosses his arms.) Humph, well, one can only imagine how helpless they must feel without their Master. I almost feel sorry for them. Almost. 

Krux: (The Army laughs before he hears a BorgWatch beep. To Acronix.) What are you doing?

Acronix: Sharing this with all my instabook followers. "Achieved... total... victory."

Krux: Why must you ruin every good moment with your modern techno-garbage?

Acronix: And why must you be so stubborn about staying in the ancient past?

(As the Time Twins start to argue while Wu stands there thinking, we are teleported back to the Temple of Airjitzu. Where the Team is trying to figure out what to do next.)
