Eddie and Mark were wrapped in each other's arms as they laid in their bed. Mark was laying on his back while Eddie was using his chest as a pillow. They were enjoying the quiet time before their girls woke up and they needed to get their days started.
Mark lazily ran his hand up and down her back as listened to his heart.
"You okay sweetheart?" Mark asked her, as Eddie hummed.
"Yeah," Eddie said. "I just feel bad for Izzie....she was doing so much better, only to find another tumor. She may not be my favorite person, but, no one deserves this."
Mark nodded in agreement.
"Yeah." Mark said. "I know Nicholas is going to do whatever possible to save her."
But, everyone knew that barring a miracle, Izzie Stevens has a five percent chance at survival. And, the reality may be that she might not make it. And, that was a horrible realization.
While she and Eddie hadn't been close since she called her a slut during the Quints case more than a year ago, and she basically washed her hands of her after the whole Denny situation, Izzie was still part of her friend group. And, she stood by her statement no matter what Izzie did, she didn't deserve this death.
And, as much as she and Jameson didn't get along and she disliked him (not as much as Izzie, as much as she hated to say it he was somewhat growing on her, but they would never be friends), he didn't deserve to loose the woman he loved, his new wife.
Eddie moved slightly and propped herself onto her elbow to look deeply in the blue eyes she loved so much.
"I love you." Eddie said. "So much."
"Também te amo, Eddie. És a melhor coisa que me aconteceu." Mark said in Portuguese, knowing Eddie loved hearing him speak it. (Google Translate: I love you too, Eddie. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me.)
Eddie smiled, Mark's pronunciation in Portuguese was getting better, and she loved that he wanted to learn a language she loved so much.
"Dizes-me as coisas mais doces, Mark Sloan." Eddie said. (Google Translate: You say the sweetest things to me, Mark Sloan.)
