Rory Burkhardt looked at herself in the beautiful wedding dress. It was nothing fancy, but it was simple and elegant. Her three bridesmaids, Eddie, Callie, and Bailey were helping her with last minute touches.
"You look amazing." Eddie said, as she pinned the simple veil in place. Ahe was dressed in the teal one shoulder bridesmaid dress.
"Thank you." Rory said with a smile.
Just then there was a knock on the door and before any of them could answer, Conrad opened the door with a bright grin, but stopped, with an amazed look crossed his face.
"Oh, wow, Rory, you look amazing." Conrad informed his best friend.
"Thank you." Rory said, "hopefully your brother will have the same reaction."
"I am definitely sure he will." Conrad promised, then he turned to his sister and two friends. "Can we have a minute?"
"Sure." Callie said, "we should get ready, the wedding will be starting soon."
"Thanks." Conrad as he smiled at them as he stepped into the room, and closed the door after the three walked out.
"What's the matter?" Rory asked concerned.
"Nothing, nothing. I just wanted to ask you something." Conrad said, "and not put you on the spot. But...I know you're walking down the isle alone...but...I wanted to offer to walk you down, you're my best friend and I know you can give your own self away...."
"You want to walk me down the aisle?" Rory asked shocked.
"Yeah." Conrad said. "You're my best friend Rory, the first person here at Seattle Grace who welcomed me and made me part of her family, it seemed...fitting...it was a stupid idea..."
"I would love that." Rory said.
While she would have loved her father to walk her down the aisle. She was sure he would be more than happy with this substitute. Conrad Quinn was honestly one of her best friends and they clicked right away, even more so than she did with Callie and Miranda, they were each other's persons and it felt right.
"Really?"
"Yeah." Rory said as she hugged him. "Thank you."
"You're welcome," Conrad said with a grin, as he held out his arm. "You ready?"
"More than ready." Rory said.

"Where is Con?" Ben whispered to his brother, as he stood beside him as his best man. His younger brother was absent from his spot on the other side of Dan as they waited for the procession.
"He's walking Rory down the aisle." Alec said as Ben nodded.
Alec fidgeted as he waited for the music to begin. What was surely, only a minute, felt like a lifetime as the doors opened and Milo and his cousin Elsie came in as flower girl and ring barer, followed by Eddie, Bailey, and Callie as they made their way down the aisle and stood on the brides side.
Then, what felt like moments later, Rory came out with a beaming grin on her face, her arm looped with Conrad's as they walked down the aisle towards him. He didn't care that he felt tears well up in his eyes as he looked at the love of his life make his way towards him.
He smiled at his brother, patting him on the arm, as Conrad kissed Rory's check and went to go stand beside his brothers.
"You look amazing." Alec said.
"Thank you." She said with a beaming grin. "I love you."
"I love you too." Alec said as he turned to his old college buddy who happily offered to marry them.

Once the wedding was over, it was time to party. Despite the fact it was a small wedding, didn't mean it wasn't fun. In fact everyone was having a good time, talking and eating. They were just finishing up the speeches.
"So," Alec said as he and Rory both stood up, Milo was on Rory's hip, while Lottie was being held by her father. "Rory and I wanted to thank you for coming to celebrate our marriage today. But, we also wanted to celebrate on other major event. This has been in the works for a while, but today, not only did Rory and I become husband and wife. But, we officially became a family."
"A few months ago," Rory said, "Alec and I started the process of...."
"Daddy adopted me!" Milo exclaimed, he had been keeping it a secret for the past few days and the young boy was just so excited. "I'm now Milo Burkhardt-Quinn, right mommy, daddy?"
Everyone froze as Alec and Rory both laughed.
"That's right sweetheart..." Rory said. "As of two days ago, Alec is legally Milo's father. And, I couldn't think of a better group of people to celebrate with."
At that everyone seemed to break out of their shock and started to clap and congratulate the new family of four.
