A black sun hangs heavy in the sky,
Casting shadows, making tears run dry,
Its darkness creeps across the land,
A dreary sight, a heavy brand.
No warmth, no light, no hope it brings,
A void of emptiness, a mournful thing,
It sits and watches, a silent gaze,
As life beneath it, in darkness fades.
No birds dare fly, no flowers bloom,
For in its presence, there is only gloom,
A sun that brings no life, no light,
Just an everlasting, endless night.
Some whisper tales of ancient lore,
Of a time when the sun was pure,
But now it's black, a twisted sight,
A symbol of eternal blight.
