Poem #88

My pride and strength, an unbreakable shield
I refuse to yield, to your demands and zeal
For I am not a soul, meant to be tamed
My will to stand tall, cannot be shamed

You may ask for submission, a bow of my head
But my spirit is fierce, I won't be misled
I won't be a puppet, in your hands to hold
My heart beats free, I won't be controlled

With every breath, I'll stand my ground
My voice will rise, a rebel sound
For I am not a servant, to be at your feet
My worth and worthiness, will not be beat

You may try to break me, with your words and might
But my determination, will stand and fight
I refuse to be subdued, by your dominance and power
My inner fire, will continue to devour

So go ahead and try, to make me kneel
But my resistance, you will never feel
For I am my own master, my own guide
I won't kneel before you, with passion I'll abide
