The plague has come, with death in its wake
A deadly disease, no one can escape
With every breath, fear fills the air
As the numbers rise, no one is spared
The streets are empty, the cities quiet
People locked away, in a desperate fight it
Against this invisible enemy, we cannot see
But its presence is felt, with every casualty
Families torn apart, loved ones lost
The plague shows no mercy, no matter the cost
For those who survive, the scars remain
As they mourn the ones, who could not withstand the pain
It spreads like wildfire, from town to town
No cure in sight, as it tears us down
Days turn into weeks, and weeks turn to months
But still the plague lingers, with its deadly touch
