Thr cars lined the inside of the arena. There were many other expensive looking cars gathered around the huge open space. They appeared to be parked in groups. Maybe showing solidarity to one fighter or another. Again, Nagisa felt the unease tugging at him. Aradia got out of her car. She held the door for Reginald.
As Nagisa watched his father stand up, fix his suit jacket, the door to another car opened. Nagisa reckonigized his grandfather. This time Lily wasn't at his side. Instead a very beautiful vampire woman, with curves to make Elvira blush, climbed out after him. Her long black hair shone in the sunlight as she fixated on Reginald. The man barely glanced at her.
His attention was on the elder Romanari. It didn't matter, his children had his back. Marcus was at his father's side in seconds. Mori pressing Ryu's door closed, by leaning against it. Ozzie hung back slightly with the rest of the wolf pack. Nagisa saw the hairs on each of them were sticking up. Hari gripped Xavier's arm as they stood with Leon and Fenn. Cami took her place beside her twin as the witches climbed form their car.
Reginald ignored the man before him, by doing the one thing that showed how little he cared, he turned his back on him. Walking away, Mori shifted to the side as Reginald reached him. The distinguished vampire, opened the door.
"Go." Nagisa whispered to Ryu.
Benji was already out on the other side with his son and fiance. Nagisa crawled out after Ryu. The large dragon appeared to tower over everyone. Nagisa didn't hesitate, he moved forward. Marcus' hand caught his shoulder as he was about to pass him.
"Coward ran from me the last time we faced off!" Nagisa hissed at Ellington.
"Do control the child, Marcus!" Ellington never even glanced at Nagisa.
"He is kind of like a dog with a bone. Once I let him off his leash, there isn't any holding him back." Marcus smirked.
Lord Ellington snorted. The woman at his side gazed down the length of beings. She pouted.
"You didn't bring him?" she demanded.
Nagisa relaxed so that Marcus would let him go. He turned to look at the man beside him. Marcus was holding himself back, with extreme difficulty. Nagisa saw it in the tight line of his jaw, the stiff way he held his shoulders. How his body leaned a bit too far forward. He smirked. Nagisa knew he wasn't the only Romanari with a temper.
"You can't even find him! How stupid are you people?" Nagisa flashed his two toned eyes at the woman. He had figured out who she was.
"It isn't my fault I hardly know him!" She spat.
"Isn't it?" Nagisa taunted raising an eyebrow.
"You're the one that left." He spoke slowly annouciating each word. This was like a slap to her.
She hissed springing forward. The man at her side stuck his cane out to stop her. She glared at Nagisa. But a shadow fell around the boy.
"Mother, leave him alone." Lucifer spoke in such a detached voice, it pulled Nagisa up short. He blinked up at him.
The tensions he saw in Marcus were reflected in Lucifer as well. Yet, instead of leaning toward the woman, Lucifer looked as if he wished to run from her. Nagisa laid a hand on his arm, offering his silent support. Lucifer's lips twitched.
"Control this disobedient child!" Lord Ellington insisted, thumping his cane on the ground.
Nagisa knew what his role was now. He snorted turning back to them. "Honey, they've had sixteen years to try that. Hasn't worked out well for them." He insisted stepping a bit closer to the man who was quickly losing his control.
