Nagisa ate next to Ryu, Carter was healed enough to go get the Kitsune back. Skye sat with them in their true form. He appeared shocked by everyone around them. The meal was loud, filled with boisterous conversation. Nagisa slipped away after some time. He walked into the mansion, heading toward the place he always found comforting.
It was a small nook, tucked away in the back part of what Reginald lovingly referred to as the witch’s den. It was Aradia’s craft room. Nagisa went there now. He pulled the sword from his back. Kneeling in the nook, he gazed down at it. He had never met the woman who had welded it before him. He wondered just what it was she would think about him fighting with her sword.
“The sword was never truly mine. Nor is it truly yours. It is ours to borrow while it allows us to use it.” A voice as silky as honey floated around him.
Nagisa looked up. The woman was small for a full vampire. Her delicate frame was shrouded in a light purple robe. She had large rings on most of her fingers. Her pale silver hair resembled her son’s. She smiled as she knelt beside the boy. Her touch soft upon his skin.
“It has chosen you, for it finds in your heart the destiny it wishes to create.” She explained.
“You’re her, Dads true mate.” Nagisa whispered.
“Mmm, yes.” Vivian Romanari agreed.
“I have watched you, young Nagisa. You are more like your farther than you know.” She smiled, booping his nose with a long black painted finger.
Nagisa smirked, ducking away. He looked to the sword again. “Marcus says you were really good with this.” He whispered.
“I was, but you were born for it. Rise up, young one, cleanse the name you so desire.” Her smile filled the room.
Nagisa couldn’t help but smile back. Until he heard a soft... “Mom!”
Faraday rushed into the room. She dropped down beside the woman. They looked alike in the way their builds were. Their faces were nearly identical, but Faraday had the long dark hair of her father.
“Mom!” She cried again, tears rushing from her eyes. The woman brushed them away.
“Ah, my fair lady.” She cooed. Faraday buried her head in the woman’s breast.
“You’ve have been so strong for your family.” Vivian patted the dark head.
“Viv?”
“Mom?” The two voices blended together.
“Don’t hold me too tightly.” The apparition scolded.
Faraday instantly backed off, but the spirit wasn’t talking to her. Nagisa smiled.
“I will give what time I can, but I won’t draw you to us.” He answered.
“Issa?” a sleepy voice called.
“Moon!” Nagisa almost lost the connection to the woman. She shimmered but cried out.
“Let me hold her just once.” She begged.
Nagisa closed his eyes. He concentrated on the woman. Opening them, he saw she had firmed up. Moon was a bit reluctant to go to the woman, even after Marcus told her it was her grandmother.
“Mommies are bad!” The little girl pouted.
Nagisa pulled her to him. Placing her on his lap, he cuddled her. “You like Aunt Krystal, right?” he asked.
Moon Moon nodded. “Well, she is my mommy. She isn’t bad.” He pointed out.
“Why is my mommy bad?” The little girl wasn’t upset, just looked at her beloved uncle with questioning eyes.
