When Seamus came back to class, both of his eyes had discolored patches around them. He had various stages of healing over most of his body. Nagisa frowned. He honestly didn't remember doing it. Seeing the tall wrinkled vampire walking along the sidewalk, Nagisa left his friends to stand, alone, in Seamus path. The vampire halted a foot or so away from him. Several of his friends gathered around.
"I'm sorry." Nagisa said.
"I'm not." Seamus looked down his nose at the halfling before him.
"I held my own, for a little bit, but you're still better than anyone I know at fighting." He offered.
"Seamus, come on! He's just a little runt!" one of the taller guys behind the ginger chuckled as he spoke.
"Tell me, Vaugnguard, how many times have I kicked your ass?" Seamus asked a twisted smirk on his lips.
"Well, you're just that good! You've been training since you could walk!" the vampire rubbed a hand over his shaggy blue white hair.
"Yeah, and this halfling runt made me look like a punching bag. I couldn't even track his fists." Seamus said.
"But, he is a Romanari?" Another boy insisted.
Seamus ignored his friends as he looked down as Nagisa. "Take care. I will come for another rematch some day." He told the tiny half vampire, before he began to walk away.
"Another six or seven years? When you think you've master something else I can't do?" Nagisa asked.
"Vaugnguard, you think I have been training since I could walk?" Seamus asked as if Nagisa hadn't spoken.
"Yeah, by the best there is around." The tall elegant vampire smiled.
Seamus slapped him upside the head. "Then you're an idiot." He grabbed a fistful of Vanguard's hair to yank his head around to face Nagisa.
"This halfling is my rival. He has been trained since the cradle by the two best fighters ever born in any clan. Mark him as your hero, because this is the second time he has beaten my ass into a hospital bed!" Seamus let the other vampire go. He nodded to Nagisa, then took his group and walked off.
Vaugnguard looked back at Nagisa. There was an expression somewhere between disgust and curiosity on his face. Nagisa watched him without emotion. The aristocratic vampire ran his eyes down the thin form of the small half witch.
"You had the balls to walk out here alone to face us all?" the vampire shook his head. "I will be watching you." He insisted.
"Yeah, but he isn't alone." Ryu came up to stand taller than the vampire.
Cold dark blue eyes drank in the tall muscled teen. Vaugnguard snorted as he ran his eyes over the thick corded muscle. He didn't even respond to Ryu. Instead he looked back to Nagisa. Collin had moved to his cousin's side. Vaugnguard turned to him.
"You, whose you're sire?' he demanded.
"No one you know." Collin huffed. Nagisa caught his cousin's wrist. Vaugnguard looked between them. He huffed.
"Bring all the useless little critters you want, they can't stand against a Biondolillo!" He declared.
"You're Falconer's twit of a brother?" a cold voice spoke up.
The vampire spun around. Mori stood behind him. The teen snorted at seeing the half dragon vampire. Without bothering to say any more, Vanguard walked off in the direction his friends had gone. Nagisa noted how he kept his shoulders stiff as if he were expecting an attack.
"This day needs to be over!" Nagisa whined. "I just want to go on our double date!" He insisted.
"Uh, what double date?" Ryu asked. Nagisa's face colored.
