Remembering Nagisa

The sound reached Reginald first. He could hear muffled voices. He flet something soft under his head. He had only one name come into his head. He spoke it. It was soft. The voices paused about him. He said the word once more. The name of the young child...

"Nagisa?" He whispered.

"She took him. We don't know his condition." The soft gentle voice, of his former lover, spoke near his head.

Reginald opened his eyes. He was lying with his head in Krystal's lap. Marcus was just pulling down his sleeve as he moved back to look at his father.

"I gave him blood, what I could make him drink." He stated sitting up.

The room spun slightly. He touched his head. Nagisa. The boy was so unique. Why couldn't he see it? He shook his head, there was a soft roaring in his ears.

"The sound should fade, in a few days." Krystal said.

Reginald blinked at her. She smiled. "You were talking about it." She offered.

"How did I get here?" He asked.

He could see they were all worried about the boy, but no one held any answers. His eyes scanned the room. Carter leaned against a wall. Race was seated at a table before him. The three children of the dragon and vampire were in there carrying cases between the werewolf and dragon.

Moon, moon was asleep on a pile of blankets, with Hyperion in his case next to her. Cami sat with the littel girl. Hari had her head in her sister's lap. Fenn and Xavier were bandaging each other's wounds. Mori was softly petting the white silver hair of his mate.

Lucifer was sitting up. His brother Clydesworth next to him, offering him something to drink. Ozzie was between the two families. His werewolf clan was against one wall, tending to their own wounds. The odd vampire werewolf watched over them.

Benji, Charmaine and Siris were seated together. The long slender fingers of Reginald's first love, were clasped together between his knees, as if he were praying. Those light golden eyes watched Reginald. He went to stand up, but a hand pushed him back as Krystal and Issac both tugged him out of the walk path.

Faraday was stalking around the room. She followed the dragon who seemed to be in a mood of sorts. His hair was a tangled mess, his clothing ripped, blood smeared and dirty. He was a frightful sight, yet no one was going near him. In fact, it was apparent that, everyone had moved to avoid his pacing.

"He won't let any of us touch him. We can't get him to talk either." Krystal watched worridly.

The rest of her coven were together on the opposite side of the room than the vampires. The archivists were huddled together in a corner, not to far from them. Reginald stood up. He felt weak. Weaker than he should. It had been Nagisa who saved their asses, not him.

"He will live, you know that, right?" Reginald demanded of the dragon.

At first it didn't seem like the beast had heard him. He rounded the far turn to come back toward Reginald. Those eyes. Reginald had seen their like, too many times in his long life. They were haunted. This was a man on the very edge of his sanity.

"Nagisa will live." Reginald informed him.

"How do you know?" Ryu's voice was a tortured cry, that one could hardly hear.

"Because, it's him." Reginald insisted. When he saw Ryu lift his head to, actually look at Reginald, the vampire head smirked.

"Also, he has my blood, therefore I can track him." Reginald stated.

"I can sense him. If he were dead, this... feeling wouldn't exist. Nagosa lives." Reginald insisted again. He moved closer to the dragon.

"I don't know where the witch took him, but he is in the best hands, I assure you." He offered.
