Dance of distruction

Going back into the feast set a pit in Nagisa's stomach. He was shocked to see Seamus standing near the door. Their eyes met as Ryu stepped through to guide the small half vampire witch to his family. Nagisa got the feeling that Seamus had wanted to talk to him. Instead the aristocrat huffed, turned away before heading back to his brother.

The rest of the feast was made worse as his family teased him. Xavier and Collin appeared to spearhead the whole thing. They didn't let up even when Reginald joined them, they just quieted slightly. Krystal hugged her son, apologized for laughing at him. He easily forgave her. That was when Nagisa noticed something a little off.

Out on the dance floor Carter had dragged Cami out. The girl could dance, she was shy, often only doing so with Nagisa or Carter. More often than not it would be in the castle, in one of their bedrooms. Now Carter was twirling her around. Cami swung out, laughing. Nagisa saw Carter's fingers slip off of his twins. Instead of Cami flying off to get hurt, strong arms slipped around her. She was pulled up against a white knight.

Leon wore a long white trench coat with white tight pants on under it. The only color on him was the forest green button up he had on. This paled his features starkly, but somehow it worked for him. His cheekbones appeared more pronounced as his ears poked up through his sea green hair. His golden left eye danced in the light that flashed around him. Cami was bowed over in his arms.

"What is that fae doing?" Xavier hissed.

"It's Leon, he's probably trying to flirt." Fenn offered. He was slurring his words slightly. Xavier smirked.

"Not with..." He began.

"... my sister!" Nagisa growled.

Marching toward the dance floor, the vampire felt a tug on his wrist. He looked up to see Ryu walking beside him, a small smile on his lips as he didn't look down at the boy next to him. All thoughts of protecting his older sister from the clutches of the elf, vanished. Nagisa lost himself in the gentle but strong lines of the face above his.

"Love sick fool!" He heard Ozzie cry out.

Ryu spun Nagisa easily around to face him. Leon jerked as the vampire nearly smashed into him. Nagisa let out a giggle as he realized Ryu had done that on purpose. Cami's face was flushed red. Glancing around, they found Carter on the other side of the dance floor. He had three girls dancing around him, yet it looked like he was only interested in dancing next to Race.

"What do you think your doing?" Nagisa hissed at Leon.

"What? She gorgeous!" Leon said not too softly. Cami flushed even darker.

Nagisa lost them in the swirl of bodies as Ryu twisted around. For as outgoing, mouthy and all around approachable as he was, Nagisa had never danced with anyone other than a member of his family. He was awestruck by how large Ryu was, yet he could move so smoothly. Their bodies moved in sync as they spun round each other.

Nagisa leapt up to land on Ryu's outstretched hand. One foot on his palm as he balanced so high in the air. Ryu bent his elbow tossing Nagisa higher. Marcus yelped out about the low celling just as Nagisa's back hit it. The dragon managed to sweep Nagisa back into his arms, cuddling him against his chest. Luckily for them only some dust floated down.

The song ended. Marcus was laughing along with his siblings as they watched the younger ones on the dance floor. Lily still looked painfully upset at his side. Nagisa wanted to talk to his brother. He didn't like any of his family in pain. But Ryu was into the dancing now. He spun Nagisa back around.

Xavier came up to gyrate behind his little brother, but Fenn pulled him off as the two danced together behind them. Cami was still being kept in the center of the dance floor. Nagisa tried to catch her eye to see if this was what she wanted. That was when the music slowed. Leon flipped Cami into his arms. Her hand rested on his shoulder. They way she gazed at him... Nagisa let them be.
