Nqgisa gazed up at the moon. It was almost full. He felt the power coming from it. What was he going to do? He needed to get Ryu out of that arena. The only way to do it was to watch him die. But who could they trust?

“What’s on your mind, little man?” Marcus asked, stepping out of the shack.

“Ryu.” Nagisa muttered.

“Yeah.” Marcus sighed beside his youngest brother.

“If I asked you, would you, uh...” Marcus paused, staring at the same moon.

“If it was you that asked me, sure. I will cure her.” Nagisa offered.

Marcus turned to lean his elbows on the cement fencing, his back pushing against it. There were only about four sections scattered about the dilapidated building. It added to the charm, or so Aradia said.

“She could do it too, couldn’t she?” He asked, his gaze on the house.

“Of course.” Nagisa muttered.

“Problame is, getting Coldar to give us some of his venom.” Nagisa stated.

“But, that’s what’s harming her.” Marcus looked confused.

“Yeah, but you need some from the werewolf that bit her. It would be nearly impossible to save a vampire if they were attacked by an entire pack. Some may not have bitten them.” Nagisa was just talking to have something to do.

“Damn.” Marcus cursed. He rolled his head around his shoulders. Turning, he looked at the teen at his side.

“You’re so young. How is it that you are so... you!” he chuckled.

“What? I’m not weird or anything!” Nagisa cried.

“You have this insane amount of medical knowledge. You have this ability to create such amazing clothes out of nothing! You can fight with the best of us. How is your head not bigger than Ryu?” Marcus was curiously scrutinizing his brother.

“Cami.” Nagisa stated simply.

“She grounds you?” Marcus inquired.

“Yeah, I mean she’s always been the first one at my side to cheer me on, but she has this way of not letting it go to my head.” Nagisa shrugged.

“Now, if we could get her to use that skill on her twin.” Marcus chuckled.

“Oh, I think she does!” Nagisa smirked. They both shivered.

“Nags?” a soft voice spoke out of the darkness.

“Speak of the devil.” Nagisa turned to see Carter standing a few feet behind him.

“You need to come with me. Ryu’s been attacked.” Carter shuffled forward.

“Get mom, he’s hurt!” Nagisa yelled at Marcus as he caught his wounded brother.

Lucifer had already slipped inside. Krystal rushed out. Nagisa passed the crumbled form of his brother to his mother. Cami glanced at him.

“I could...” She began.

“No, he needs you.” Nagisa snarled, his eyes already scanning the darkness.

“Skye!” he bellowed out.

“Lets go.” Skye stood next to Mori, who had already transformed into the half dragon form. Nagisa caught his siblings' shoulders as Skye turned into a mouse to curl inside the half vampire’s pocket.

Mori flew them across the country. The lights of the town twinkled below them. He had handed Nagisa his bag of medicine. No one spoke as they flew toward the arena. There was a hotel next to it, where the combatants were supposed to be housed. Skye told them that wasn’t where they had kept him the first night.
