They needed intelligence. Nagisa sat on a rock. He heard the soft footfall. Not looking up, or in any other way indicating he heard the person, he waited. They dropped down on either side of him. He watched the moon. It was nearly gone tonight. The werewolves were at their best behaved. Another crunch of a leaf, another body. Then a nearly glowing soul stepped from the trees. The boy nodded.
"What did you do, knock the giant lizard out?" Carter asked.
"No, but he was asleep when I left." Nagisa told his brother.
"Great. Now we will need to factor in a rampaging reptile!" Caeter huffed.
"You won't have to factor in anything. I'm in sentry." Nagisa insisted.
"You best take care of her!" artery growled.
"We will." Collin nodded.
"We ready?" Skye asked.
"Shouldn't we at least, I don't know, tell someone?" Cami twisted her hands around each other.
"No. Dad said once he told us what areas to check, he was going to send us in." Nagisa squeezed her hand.
"Still, this feels..." She sighed heavily
"Like sneaking out?" Nagisa chuckled.
"Lucifer?" Cami turned her worried eyes toward the dark shadows.
"I have him working with Siris." Nagisa stated.
The six of them glanced around. Coldar held the scathe in one hand. The twin blades, Nagisa was seen more and more with, were crossed against the smaller teen's back. Carter checked his assort.ent of small metallic daggers, throwing knives and darts. Cami watche dhim fidget. Collin had the elfin blade strapped down on his hip.
"Its really just us. No calvary?" She glanced worried Lynx at her youngest brother.
"Yep." Nagisa insisted.
He walked up to Cami. Placing his hands on each of her shoulders, he smiled into her face. It was weird being the same height as her.
"You have two jobs." He instructed.
"Get what intel you can." He commanded.
She closed her eyes, nodding. "Then run like hell itself is at your heels. Don't look back, don't fight. You are our back up. You run, you get the others and raise the alarm." Nagisa insisted.
"Shouldn't that be your job? I mean, everyone says your the fastest..." They turned at the sound of the new voice.
Xavier's pipe lit up as he drew on it. "What are enough doing here?" Carter demanded.
"Saw ya sneaking out, was curious." The green haired male shrugged.
"Just, get out of here!" Carter growled.
"Yeah, I'll give you three hours. It should take you about one to walk up there." They all looked toward the foreboding castle.
"You aren't back in three, I'm telling dad just where you went to." Xavier walked aimlessly away.
"You know we can't count on him, right?" Collin asked as the night swallowed the half fey.
"Let's go." Carter growled.
Taking Cami's hand, he began to run. Cdad transformed, running between the two vampires. No one spoke as the Kitsune kept pace with them. The darkness closed about the small group. Not a one of them, saw the silent head turn back toward the small shack. The wings of the flying vampire were all but silent on the wind.
