May

Jared looks at me with shock, his mouth open.

"What?" He growled. He looked ready to kill, his eyes darkened with anger.

"It was a really long time ago," I reassure him, holding my arms out.

"May, your own brother tried to kill you!"

"I know that," I say, annoyed he doesn't give a shit to the fact I am freaking out right now.

"Why did he try to kill you?"

"Its really complicated. He was supposed to be a werewolf, but was somehow human. He got super jealous of me and how I was a werewolf, and he tried to kill me with silver. Now, he tries to kill werewolves as a hunter, and he ran away from home. Luckily, Josh saw Derek trying to cut me and Derek didn't hurt me enough to kill my wolf. And now, he's back." I explain.

"May, that's, terrible. How could he do that to you?"

"I don't know." I shake my head.

"Okay, its pretty late, and May has school tomorrow, and we should probably all go to sleep after this long day," Josh suggests.

"Okay. Thanks for an amazing night, Jared." I lean over and peck him on the lips, before standing up.

Beep! Beep! Beep! I roll out of bed, knowing fully well today is Monday. After Derek, I don't think I can go, but I know I need to. I go to my closet and pull out my green army pant leggings and a black sweater, and then slipping on my white high top converse. I leave my PJs on the floor and go to the bathroom, while I apply make-up consisting of eyeliner, sparkly white eye shadow and mascara.

"May! There is some guy here!" My mom calls up the stairs. I know it isn't Jared because she already met him.

"Uh... Okay? I'm coming!" I grab my beige canvas backpack and my books off my table, stuffing them into my bag until I see Lucas smiling. Lucas. "Lucas? Hi."

"Hey," he smiles, and I melt at his smile.

"What are you doing here? Not to be rude or anything," I ask.

He chuckles, "I thought I'd drive you to school today."

"Oh. Okay, thanks," I say, thinking of how sweet that is.

"I also got you Starbucks. Its in the car." He starts out the door and I follow him to his black, shiny Volvo. He opens the passenger seat for me, and I blush. "Its a tea thing. I ordered a large and they gave me a venti, or whatever." I laugh, and say my thanks.

"So I thought I'd pick you up here at 4:30, that okay? Chloe can pick you up after school and you two can go shopping, it's on me," he offers.

"I have my own clothes, I don't need you to buy me anything," I say.

"I know. But I want you to get something nice for yourself."

"No, really, its fine," I assure him.

"Chloe won't take no for an answer," he warns.

"Alright," I laugh.

"You go to Two Moons school, right?" Lucas asks me.

"Yeah," I reply. We ride in silence until we get to my school and he parks the car.

"We're here. I will pick you up at your house at four thirty. Chloe will pick you up here."

"How do I know what Chloe looks like?" I ask.

"Trust me, you'll know," he chuckles.

"Okay. Thank you for the tea and the ride Lucas," I lean in and kiss him. He seems surprised but quickly responds by pulling me closer. I know that this is our first kiss, and its in his car in the parking lot of my school. Romantic, right? I pull away, a little breathless. "See you at four thirty?"
