Lucas
Emma screams with a horrified expression on her face. She starts crying and pointing at May. She let's out shaking breaths between screams. I lean down and turn her towards me.
"Emma, what is it? You have to tell me so I can make it go away," I put my hands on her shoulders while I'm bending down.
"May! She's going to kill me! She! Is! Going! To! Kill me and all of you!" Emma shrieks.
"I don't want to hurt you, I won't," May reassures her.
"You smell like him!" I stop. May stops. Her fingers fly up to her neck and she realizes what happened.
Emma was attacked by Derek.
Jared
As I leave the Laurent house, I feel better than I thought I would. I know that May will be kept safe from Derek, and May won't get hurt. I know fully well she can protect herself, but her being where Derek won't know is what's best. Obviously, it will be hard knowing that she won't be at school, and that she will be with Lucas all the time. But, I can visit her anytime.
I don't know if I love her yet. I know what I feel for May is stronger than a like, but if may be the mate bond talking.
May is perfect. She's so beautiful and has been through so much but is so incredibly strong. She's shy but funny and so smart.
I don't want her to chose Lucas. I want her to chose me! I belong with her, not Lucas. I met her first, therefore, I should be chosen!
"You must respect her wishes," I hear a voice say. I turn around, looking for the source of the voice. I see nothing but blackness of the night, so I keep walking forward.
"Jared." I stop. What the heck?
"Who said that?" I say into the empty night.
"Me," I do a three sixty, trying to find it. "Look up, Jared." I look up, and sure enough, a figure is floating in the air.
"Moon Goddess?"
"Yes. Jared, you won't lose her. If you keep being the gentleman you are, you will not lose her!"
"Why are you telling me this?" I ask.
"Because I want May to chose the right choice, and she needs to see who you really are, Jared. She needs to see you. You need to open up about your past, because with Lucas, he has no secrets. Good luck, Jared," The Moon Goddess vanishes into thin air. She's right. I have to tell her more about me.
As soon as possible.
May
She was still screaming.
I can't just tell her I'm not like Derek and she'll magically stop crying! So do the only thing I can think of.
I submit to her. I go down on my knees and hang my head down. She stops crying and everyone in the room is quiet.
"Emma, my name is May. My brother, Derek, he hurt me too. Right here," I say, pointing to my scar. "He hurt you. I don't want you to get hurt."
"R-really?" She asks, her lower lip wobbling.
"Yes," I nod my head. She runs towards me, hugging me. She cries softly, and I hear a second sob- mine. We stay there for what seems like forever, hugging and sobbing over our past.
~*~*~*~*
The morning sun shines brightly through the curtains. I open my eyes and wince, shoving my head into the pillow.
Ugh. My eyes are very, very swollen from last night. I can feel the bags under them.
"Good morning, May!" Chloe sang happily as she walked into my room.
"Ugh," I groan.
"Well," she huffs, "what crawled up your butt and died?"
"Life," I reply, sitting up.
"Okay, you have training with Alpha Lucas this morning. Gotta go bye!" Chloe says quickly.
I am not training this early in the morning. Especially with Lucas. I go out to the hallway still in my pajamas, dragging my feet. God, how do you navigate this house?
Eventually I find the stairs, and walk down, trying to locate the kitchen. I smell food.
"Food!" I happily cheer, letting my nose guide me.
"Good morning, May! Help yourself," Lucas's dad offers. Now his dad, I like.
"Don't mind if I do," I smirk, piling food on my plate. Chloe sits next to me, and I glare at her.
"Hi May!" Emma greets me, giving me a giant hug.
"Hey, sweetie," I hug her back. We really connected last night, by sobbing and hugging over Derek. I explained to her why I was here, and she cried some more. This girl was way to young to be dealing with this stuff. I told her I'd protect her with my life, and I would. She lost her wolf because of Derek. I want her to get her wolf back.
"Luna. Get your ass outside for training," Josh barks at me as I stare at him with a mouthful of pancakes. I shake my head.
"I will personally drag you outside if I have to," he glares at me.
"Okay," I shrug. He grabs wrist, and I grab his other wrist and flip him over my shoulder.
"Does it still look like I need training?"
So I know this is kind short, but I'm suffering from writers block.
A lot of stuff will happen next chapter, so be ready!
Sadly, it is no nowhere near done.
But keep on reading, sharing, and voting lovelies, I love you all!**Edited
