Summary:

It's Valentine's Day. All of the Bakusquad has dates except for Kirishima and Mina. They stage a fake proposal for a free dinner at their favorite restaurant. It doesn't go as they planned.

"What are we doing for Valentine's, guys?" Mina asks, flouncing into the living room, carrying a tray of pink and red heart-shaped cookies. Her curls bounce with every step she takes closer to the coffee table.

"About that," Kaminari says. "I can't hang out with you guys on Valentine's."

"I'm so glad you said it before me," Sero says, slumping with relief. "I can't either. Shouto wants us to do something romantic this year. This is our first Valentine's as a married couple, you know."

"I'm out, as well. Fucking Deku got sappy a few days ago and realized we've never spent a Valentine's alone. He didn't stop crying until I agreed to plan a date for us."

"You're not serious, bros," Kirishima stares at his three friends, bundled together on the couch in Kirishima and Bakugu's apartment.

Sero shifts awkwardly under the blanket, avoiding Kirishima's eyes.

"I'm sorry, bro," Kaminari says.

Kirishima shakes his head, feeling disappointed and betrayed. Every Valentine's Day since the Bakusquad's first year at UA, they've gone on a group date. The tradition continued even after Sero, Kaminari, and Bakugou entered into relationships.

Todoroki, Shinsou, and Midoriya never minded their partners hanging out with their friends on Valentine's Day. They even started their tradition of getting blackout drunk at Shinsou's apartment.

"Stop whining like a bitch about it," Bakugou says gruffly.

"Why wouldn't I whine about it? This is a tradition that has been going on for eight years now! It never bothered your partners before; why now?"

"I love you, Kirishima, but I married the love of my life. Sue me for wanting to spend a Valentine's with him."

Kirishima turns pleading eyes on Sero. "Go out with him the day before or after."

"Why don't we go out together the day before or after?" Mina suggests. She's not as ruffled over the new predicament as Kirishima. She couldn't care less about love or Valentine's Day. She enjoys their group hangouts, but she'll be just as happy curled up in front of her TV with a massive bowl of popcorn.

"It's not the same!" Kirishima cries.

"I have to work the day before and after. I asked off for Valentine's."

"Which job, Bakugou?" Kaminari asks. He snatches one of the cookies off Mina's tray, hissing when it burns him. He drops the cookie onto Sero's lap, who jerks from the heat.

"It's a weekday, so take a fucking guess, Dunce Face."

Three years after Bakugou graduated from UA, Nezu offered him All Might's vacated teaching position. All Might valiantly continued to teach as long as he could after losing One For All.

Bakugou initially declined the offer with a bunch of expletives. He hated his classmates while he was in school. Why would he want to deal with the new generation of budding heroes?
