Chapter 21
Kailah's POV
The days passed by and Ian and I have grown closer. Our table was now composed of Me, Kim, Betty, Rexine, Dylan, Garet, and Ian.
Dylan was still on with his theatrics. And I've noticed how Ian glares at him. Weird.
I was eating when someone hugged me from behind wrapping their arms around my neck. "Hi, Kailah.", I heard Dylan's voice. I've gotten used to how touchy Dylan was. He was burying his nose in my hair and I was about to tell him that he might suffocate (Lol), when I heard a slam on the table. What I saw got me all confused. Ian was holding his gatorade bottle on the table so hard that his knuckles were now white and he was breathing hard through his nose with his eyes closed. We were all looking at him.
I heard Dylan snigger and saw Kim smirking. Huh? Do they know something I don't? "Yanny?", I called out to him making him flinch and as if nothing weird happened, he smiled at me but I could tell that it was forced.
Throughout the whole time that Ian and I became friends, I've learned to keep my questions to myself. Males being the complicated creatures that they were, when asked about questions similar to mine. . . tend to get flustered and avoid answering the questions at all cost. I'm quite observant, thank you very much. Since my bestfriend decided to abandon me! I let out a sigh. I had a lot of questions, alright.
He's been weird from the beginning even before we were friends so I'm not at all shocked at how he's being weird right now. I returned his smile. "You should go and take your seat now, Dy-Dy. We can't let grace wait.", I said patting his arm. "Mm.", he complied but not before inhaling deeply, his nose still buried in my hair.
Ian was quiet the whole time we were eating. He would usually crack some jokes. So after lunch, I grabbed his hand and dragged him outside but not before saying goodbye to my friends.
"Okay! Spill", I demanded crossing my arms over my chest. He scratched the back of his neck, looking everywhere but me. I came closer making him look my way. I raised my brow at him willing him to spill what's been bothering him. When it seemed like he wouldn't talk, I did the unexpected. I held his shoulders and slammed him to the wall, but not so hard. I don't want an unconscious body, people. I need him to talk. . . besides, dragging a body as big as his to the clinic would be a hassle. I don't want to break some nails. (Lol)
I could tell that he was shocked. His mouth was ajar. I had to chuckle at that.
But back to business. I leaned close to his face on tipped toes. Ugh! Why is he so tall anyway? I noticed that he was holding his breath. Now, let's test my interrogating skills. I've seen people do this in movies.
I let my pointing finger touch his jaw with my face inches away from his. If someone saw this, I'm screwed. I bet this scene looked hilarious. I was on tiptoes people!
Anyway, back to the task at hand. I slowly slid my finger from his jaw to his neck. I felt his breathing hitch. "So, what's wrong?", I asked. He still wouldn't spill. Tsk! Time to up the game then.
"Hmm?", I hummed in a low sultry voice. I can be evil alright. I placed both my hands on his chest and proceeded on sliding it down his abdomen slowly. I heard him groan. I was going to punch him in the gut for being so stubborn when he held both my hands up in the air. I was beyond shocked. His face was still a breath away from mine and he was panting. I chuckled awkwardly, maybe my interrogating skills should be locked away in a box in the attic. Damn! "Uh, aha-ha, spill?", I asked, unsure. I wish I could face palm right now. But seeing as both my hands were held above me by Ian's hands. . . . I heard him sigh then he closed his eyes.
"Stoooopid!", he teased with a slightly strained voice. He let go of my hands and ruffled my hair. I punched his arm making him wince. I stuck my tongue out at him and ran to the cabins. "The usual, Kay-Kay?", he called out. I raised my hand up and gave him a thumbs up without turning back.
I reached my room and slammed the door, sliding to the floor. HOLY SHIT! I can't believe my plan backfired! Damn! I wasn't even able to make him spill. I let out a sigh. We learn from our mistakes, right? Maybe I shouldn't have used both my hands. I should have used handcuffs. "I faaaiiledd!", I said out loud in a defeated voice. But this is not the time to sulk!
"Draaake? Where are you?", I asked the air. Lol. I rummaged through Kim's things and "AHA!", I exclaimed, raising my hand in the air, holding the 'best seller' novel.
I laid on Kim's bed and flipped the book open to where a fold was present.
'. . . Mike trailed kisses on my neck. 'Mike. . w-we shouldn't. Aurora might-', Drake started in a husky voice which drove Mike wild, making his kisses more intense making Drake moan louder. They were startled when they heard the door slam open. 'You! I trusted y-you, Drake!', Aurora cried out. . . .', I read. I love this kind of scenes! What are you going to do now, huh, Mike?
'. . . .'Aurora! This is n-not what it looks l-like!', Mike reasoned out approaching Aurora's figure. 'M-mike?', Drake asked, his voice breaking. 'He s-seduced me. Please believe me, Aurora. You're the one I love!', Mike further pleaded holding Aurora's face with both of his han-. . . .'
WTF!
"You're an asshole Mike!", I cried out, throwing the book on the ground at the same time the door opened with Kim holding it, looking at me like I was crazy. I panicked, "Uh! This is not what it looks like!", I explained. DAMN! Now, I even sounded like Mike! Maybe I've gone crazy. Ugh! There was a moment of awkward silence. Then she burst out laughing and I can't help but laugh along as well.
"Mike's a douche, huh?", she spoke after our laughter died down. I looked at her, "Yeah."
