Chapter 6

Kailah's POV

"Oh my god!"

"He's so hot!"

"Ooooh! He was totally waving at me!"

"Look at that! He's a Greek god, no doubt about it! But ew! Bad choice of friend! Like seriously? Garet?! Ugh! Anyway, I'm totally befriending that nice piece of ass!"

Were the hilarious and annoying exclamations almost all of the girls were spouting.

‘What's wrong with these girls?’ was the first thought that entered my mind.

"It's just a boy, people!" I stated out loud which earned glares from the girls. I raised one eyebrow at them, "Yeah, problem?"

They looked at me from head to toe, seeing my very intimidating height and frantically shook their heads.

"That's what I thought." I added and then they all got quiet. That’s until they slowly turned back around and returned to their dreamy sighing and irking squeals. I fake-gagged at that. I will never, for the life of me, understand girls and their obsession.

And the other boy, was it Garet, it's not like he did anything to them. Evil witches.

I was brought out of my mental steam-blowing when I felt someone nudging my left elbow.

"Did you see all those boys looking at our direction? It was so funny!" Kim asked.

"Um, nope," I replied, popping the ‘p’.

"I was occupied." I answered, somewhat peeved at the thought of boys looking at me while I was not aware. But I chuckled when I recalled why I was preoccupied in the first place. I was busy scaring off mean witches.

"They were staring and I got scared that we might need to start using boats if they continued drooling! The funny part was when the guy who got all the girls squealing, who's totally hot by the way, arrived, they looked crestfallen. Dorks!" She said in between her bouts of laughter, making my skin crawl. F*cking drool?!

What has the world come to?

"Anyway, the best part was when you said, 'it's just a boy, people' Purps, the look on their faces! You should have seen it! First, they looked relieved. Some even sighed discreetly which totally failed since I noticed, and then they had that look of determination on their faces! Ha! Good luck to you Purps, I guess it's not just Brad you're going to have to fend yourself from." My ever-so-observant-to-a-fault best friend finished, bursting out in laughter.

God! All the angels in heaven! Zeus! Please watch over me from up there! I don't want to end up in prison before summer ends!

Because if some hormonal kids get in the way of the one summer I’ve been looking forward to enjoying, I'm gonna have to store up some bags for the bodies!

Ack! I hate hormones!!

I sighed in exasperation and tiredly shook my head.

"Thanks for the heads up, Nurps. Anyway, it seems like they're starting." Was my attempt at keeping my mind off the horrific possibilities, and faced ahead.

In front, there were about 12 adults, I'm guessing 3 were group facilitators basing from their get up and I guess the other nine were part of the staff for the activities. There were five men, including Mr. Brendon, and seven women.

I let my eyes roam around the area and I think there were more or less eighty campers who signed up.

As I was rounding the entire population, my eyes landed on a guy's pair of blue, almost gray eyes. I was about to pass by them when I found that I couldn’t which was pretty weird. They were hypnotic and I can't seem to take my eyes off them.
