Chapter 38: Final Chapter

Kailah's POV

"Wakey, wakey sleepy Venny!" I heard a faint voice accompanied by a soft tickling sensation on my nose. Burrying the annoyance that threatened to rise up, I rolled away from the stupid bug and snuggled deeper into my hotdog-shaped pillow.

"If you don't wakey this timey, sleepy Venny is going soakey!" It sang teasefully and I had the amazing urge to swat it away with an electric fly swatter but I chose to ignore it.

Go BUG somebody else you stupid bug.

A very deep, meaningful and annoying sigh sounded in the room followed by silence and the sound of running water. For a second, I felt my face frown as I thought about mutitad bugs that can sigh until it morphed into shock.

"Heave-ho! Now off to coldey soakey timey!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, a super high-pitched scream I never thought I'd make in my entire life as I was lifted off my bed, arms encircling around my body.

I hurriedly opened my eyes, twisted my head as far as it can go and saw the stupid bug behind, who magically transformed into my older brother, Jake, who had a very annoying grin on that I so wanted to smack off. I struggled out of his chain-like hold as he started walking to my bathroom but failed epically, note the keyword chain-like. I freaked out and I knew I had that 'deer caught in the headlights' look right now.

Who wouldn't when the shining white bathroom was quickly zooming in making me think about those people who saw the light where their elevator to St. Peter's crib was in.

"Jake, I swear if you do whatever I think you're planning, you'll never live to see another sunris-"

Without warning, I was tossed into the tub which looked and felt like hell that's frozen over as my body was soaked down to my underwear. I gaped at the wall, my mouth wide open in shock until it started quivering, my teeth's incessant chattering filling the room along with my brother's obnoxious cackles.

I snapped my head towards him and glared my hatred out. I waited for Jake to calm down from his laughter until I could lay my piece down. "I'm j-just going to a-ask this o-once and you better give m-me the right answere o-or you c-can say bye t-to employment, m-marriage and r-retirement and s-say hi to y-your maker... Why the f-f*ck did you d-do that?!" I laid out, making my threat every bit serious but it honestly lost its power with the stupid sound of my teeth knocking together in a frenzied manner.

Jake smirked and crossed his arms over his chest. "First, I can't hit the bucket yet. I still have to grant every girl's dying wish to see me. Second, you don't scare me, so save the threats and lastly, it's eight. Go figure." He haughtily stated. I started to roll my eyes but the last part prevented me from finishing it as it widened in realization. "Eight?!" I all but screamed and shot up and out of the tub, the cold water forgotten and shoved my brother out of the bathroom, who was laughing all the way out.

I can't believe I freaking overslept! And to think today's the first day back to school!

Finishing my shower in record time, which was warm thank you very much, I brushed my teeth and ran out of the steaming bathroom with a towel wrapped around my body. In a hurry to reach my closet, I slipped on a stray dirty shirt and landed on my a*s with a loud thud.
