"Bulba!"
"Eevee!" I opened my eyes from the voices and stared at a pair of red and brown eyes of my Pokémon staring at me. I blinked a few times before realizing what just happened.
"My egg!" I shouted. I sat up in a flash and accidentally did some damage to my back from the stretch. I gasped and just sat there, frozen. Shit... shit... shit... don't cry... don't cry.. don't show any pain or someone will know. Hopefully, no one saw me laying here...
"Bulba..." I looked at my Bulbasaur carrying my egg in her vine whip. I sighed in relief and reached to hold it, but my head went light again. I placed my hands on the concrete to support myself. Eevee frowned, rubbing her cheek on my arm.
"I'm fine..." I took the egg gently and hugged it "You're safe... You're safe..." I sighed "Why is the earth moving?" Dammit... It's because I haven't eaten since yesterday morning, and all that roller skating didn't help
"We should go and find something to eat before I pass out on the streets. I can't have the public worry about me" Bulbasaur offered a vine while holding my egg in the other. I smiled and held her vine like a hand and slowly climbed down the stairs
"Ee! Eevee!" Eevee pointed at my bag. I dug inside and stared at my skates, and then she pointed at my feet
"You want me to put them on?" She nodded. I put them on and stood "okay?" Bulbasaur placed my egg in my bag, then offered both her vines while her back faced towards me "oh! I get it" I held her vines so she pulled me through the city without having me move my legs. What a smart idea. I have such amazing Pokémon
When we made it close to a café with a red curtain roof to block the sun, one that I've seen on TV, I overheard someone talking
"Are you sure? It'll help you out on Pokémon battles very much! I guarantee it!" A boy in a red hat, straight dark hair to his neck, and blue jacket said to a pair of girls making faces at him "O-Powers can help your Pokémon grow as well! What do you say?" The girls just ignored him and walked away. He sighed and sat on the ground in defeat. I looked at my Pokémon
"I wonder what that was about." I thought for a moment "Girls, take me towards him" they nodded and walked me to him still sitting down. He took out a PSS and started playing with it. I took off my skates and gave my bag, with the egg, to Bulbasaur, while Eevee stood next to my skates "I'll be back" I kept my strength up and walked over to him
"Excuse me?" He looked up from his screen and stared at me with his dark blue eyes peeking out his black sunglasses, surprised "are you alright? you seem pretty upset" he shook his head rapidly and stood up, fixing his hat
"Yes, yeah, I'm good" he smiled, staring deeply into my eyes"hello."
"Hello" I smiled "those girls seem to have given you a hard time, huh?" He looked at the direction the girls left and shrugged
"Business is business" business?
"How can you do any business with sunglasses on? Your customers do need trust in you, right? And a good first impression is eye contact" that's what I heard on TV. He took off his glasses and stared down at them
"That makes sense" he smiled brightly at me. I can't help but smile back "even with these off, I still can't get customers to buy my offer" he nervously rubbed the back of his head while putting his glasses on his hat the same as I do
"What are you selling?"
"O-powers" I looked at him confused "you don't know what they are?"
"I do not, so sorry" I nervously smiled. He chuckled and was about to say something, but I suddenly felt the earth spinning again. There are two of this boy now
