I looked back at Calem's home after saying my goodbye to him and his family. He told me he needed time to prepare for the league, so I decided to give him some space. He was disappointed to see me leave so soon, but I had someone waiting for me in the woods surrounding Vaniville town.
"Are you sure you want to leave so soon?" Beeno asked me, helping me walk through the mud that appeared after a rainstorm last night. I simply nodded and approached the woods to face the magical being of Xerneas waiting for me on the same spot I first met it in. It looked down at me with gentle eyes and a warm welcoming aura
"It's time to come home, King" he nodded.
"Yes... thank you for taking Calem to his right place to discover the truth."
"I can see why you chose to guard him... to think he was actually a prince" I looked behind me "do you have a reason why I couldn't put the pieces together in the first place? My mind had been wandering all over the place this whole time..." I looked back at him "the relationship between him and Diantha, the mark on his back, and the bonding I can only have with another royal. It was right in front of me, yet I couldn't figure it out."
"That was done on purpose to keep you from knowing the truth sooner. As you may know, many legendaries have helped twisted the past to keep the future stable. That was the reason."
"Seriously" I groaned "Those guys are still messing with me? Please tell me its over" he nodded
"It's over" he sat down on the grass that was blooming with flowers "Its time to live a normal life. You don't have to worry too much about your royal duties yet until later on. For now, live to make people happy. Be yourself, and be strong" I took out the master ball in my bag and pointed it at its head
"I will, although I'm still young, I have a lot to learn" he nodded before pressing his nose on the button, sinking him into the capsule. I hugged the ball and looked back at the direction of the town.
"What do you want to do now? Call Hoopa?" Meowstic asked
"If I call Hoopa, I'll be sent home. I'm going to spend my time walking the region and meet up with old friends before I go home. It's kind of difficult being there because you guys can't handle the cold. Let's just take a walk and enjoy the sun until Professor Sycamore calls us"
"What is he going to call for?" I shrugged and got on Beeno to head back to Santalune Forest
"Beats me. He said he has a surprise... whatever that means" we traveled the region by foot from square one just like in the very beginning, only this time I didn't have that wound on my back. I enjoyed roaming around without fearing Brian searching for me, but I'll eventually make it back to the castle to deal with him.
A long while passed, and I ended up on route 14, the same route where I met Zygarde in that scary house. I remembered Shauna telling me once that that house we slept in that one night wasn't used by a person... but a ghost. I calmed myself from the scary story and walked through the creepy path leading to the city where Valerie should be in. I really need to talk to her about Calem, but maybe I should have called. She might still be in the castle
I took out my PSS to contact her "Hello?" She smiled at the screen. I returned the smile "Hey there, princess! You've been gone for a long time! What have you been doing?"
"A lot had happened... I met my grandparents awhile back" she gasped happily
"No way! How wonderful!"
"Is there a reason why you didn't tell me?"
"I had my reasons" I sighed, knowing she wasn't going to tell me "What else did you do?"
