Chapter 40: Ghost

I went around Lumiose City while riding on my skates and eating some ice cream. The past two days were pretty tiring for me. First, I went to Ambrette Town to be with Wonder for a full day, just being in that ice cold room. I didn't mind the cold at all, and I didn't mind seeing Wonder. Doing those two things were just amazing, but the thing that bothered me the most is that my hair kept growing without stopping and ended up becoming about 5 feet tall... I had to hide it from everyone when I got out of the lab and slept in the hotel with all the annoying hair

The next day, I braided all my hair and stuck it all in my helmet so I could use my skysuit to fly to Lumiose with Talonflame and Flygon to get a proper haircut in Coiffure Clips. Valerie told me I used to donate my hair to kids who needed it, so I donated all my extra hair and asked for a short to the shoulder haircut with bangs. It's cute, but if I go home, it's not going to last

On the same day, I went to find Professor Sycamore, but Sina was in the front and said he wasn't in the building at the moment. She sounded pissed in the intercom, but I wasn't going to deal with her. She doesn't know Calem and me. I also had a hard time looking for Alexa's newsstand. I would've called her, but there's still parts of Lumiose I haven't seen, so I'll find it on my own

I played around the city before contacting Jennifer the next day. She told me to meet her in a specific café, so I was just heading there before the actual time she told me to meet her. I looked up at the café and noticed it was the one I had a meal with Calem for the first time... I held my heart and smiled.

"I really miss him" I sighed "I have to look for him and everyone else soon... This guilt is eating me alive... What I put them through was not fair" I took a deep breath, holding in my tears, and stepped inside to take the same table Calem and I first used. Now that I think about it, this is the same place where I met Diantha, the Queen of Kalos...

"Stop thinking so much, Yvonne..." I sighed. I can't seem to calm down since that day. I could feel the waiter walking over "a cappuccino, please... And maybe a bowl of fruit? I don't think I can eat too much right now."

"Awe, why not?" I looked up and saw the gentle smile of Diantha smiling down at me with her beautiful dark blue eyes. I blushed and stood straight.

"Miss Diantha..." She giggled and sat in front of me "or should I say... Queen" I still can't believe she's a queen and her castle is in the Pokémon League. To think I'm not the only Royal in Kalos. Diantha giggled

"Oh, so you heard of that?" I nodded "you don't have to treat me like a Queen, sweetie. No one does. They only treat me as a celebrity."

"I kinda don't see the difference... They're both big in society" I crossed my arms "How am I going to handle all the attention..?" I held my head and leaned on the table

"I don't believe I know what you are talking about" I sighed.

"Sorry... I shouldn't be talking to you like this. I should show more... Respect" I used both hands to support my chin as the heat rushed in my cheeks. Why did it suddenly get hot? Someone held my head. I looked up and saw the eyes of Diantha staring at me. Her eyes looked... A lot like Calems...

"You don't seem to have a fever. What's the matter, darling? You've looked miserable since you came in" I nodded.

"I am... I have some people mad at me and..." I hit my head on the table

"Yvonne!" She gasped. I whined

"I'm so pathetic... I'm supposed to make people happy..." I kept hitting my head on the table "I really suck. I am a failure as a..." As a princess... My family is meant to make people happy. I really have to find my friends. This is killing me... "Have you seen Shauna, Trevor, Tierno, or even Calem..?"
