I stood in the front desk of the Trainer PR studio with my friend, Shauna, the skater girl that brought me to Professor Sycamore's lab a few days ago. It turns out that she was someone who helped him out two years ago and received a Fennekin, one of the three choices Sycamore gives to new trainers. Calem and I were last minute, and we couldn't get one of the three options Sycamore provides. I was more of a last-minute call than Calem was... but how was Calem last minute? Did Sycamore's Pokémon eggs not hatch on time?
"It's really cool in here, Serena" Shauna said "you can make up to three PR videos and choose one to show to the public! Once you show the front desk which one you want to put up, you gotta give them your PSS so others can see how amazing of a person you are" I blushed at how sweet Shauna was. She's my very first girl friend that's actually in my age group. Viola and Alexia to me are like a family now, and Calem... he's cool and all, but I didn't spend as much time with him as I did with Shauna. We had sleepovers in the Pokémon Center rental rooms, gossip about what goes on in the city, and even battled each other! Poor girl loses every time
"That sounds cool, but I don't plan on showing my face to the public" I admitted
"Oh, 'cause of your accident?" I told her what happened in the Santalune Forest and that some stranger saved me. It sucks that I was too scared to stay around. I wish I knew who saved me. I don't plan on telling anyone my bruises were from my dad. My only excuse will be that forest, even if it was a lie "don't worry about your face. Some people do makeup in there."
"No" I chuckled "I don't plan on showing my face at all."
"Why not? You're very pretty, and I think with a little makeup, your skin can show its true beauty. Once your wounds heal, you'll be as beautiful as ever even without the makeup!" My face went red "awe! You're blushing"
"I would love to make a video where I can be with my Pokémon, but the PR videos are more public than the actual PSS... I have stage fright" I don't even know if that's true or not. I can battle people just fine, but I don't think it's actually a performance. I just don't want my dad to recognize me... Even if I do look way better than I did when I ran away from home. I'm not taking chances.
"Awe, I'm sorry" she frowned.
"That's fine. I can always film my Pokémon. It'll be fine" she nodded
"It's a good thing this place is still running even if the power is down around the region" she sighed "and it's also a good thing that many places use their own electricity instead of needing it from Lumious City. If only the power wasn't down! I really wanna go to other places!" She whined
Since we been here together, we did a lot more activities. Like, go shopping in the least expensive places. All I did was buy a few shirts and shorts for when my bruises heal and went to cut my hair at Cece's beauty salon, the place where Alexia recommend me. I got a reasonable price for knowing Alexia. My hair used to pass my hips, and now it just passes my breast. I decided to put it up in a ponytail for today with my bangs covering my forehead.
"Maybe when the power comes back" she pouted. The power has been down since I got here. The construction workers won't let us into other places of the city. That's why she's pouting
"You promise?" I giggled and hugged her head
"Duh, now help me make this stupid PR video" she giggled and hugged me back roughly. I screamed a bit too loud from how hard she pressed on my back. She jumped and stared at me surprised
"S-sorry... I didn't know your bruises were that bad" I sighed and gently rubbed my back.
"It's okay" I took the professional camera the front counter man gave me. I could choose from using a green screen or using real life for my video. As long as I don't break the camera, I don't have to pay for anything. Since I knew Viola and Alexia, and helping Sycamore, they let me use everything for free! That's just amazing! "You didn't know" she smiled and helped me carry everything, like a few props and mics so the video could be heard if the audio fails
