A/N: I can't believe I have to write this but well for some of you PERIODS are still a taboo so here's a warning that there will be mentions of periods and subjects related to it.
If you don't want to read any of it then skip four chapters starting with this one.
If you decide to skip then I must mention there are huge "adhyay" you are going to miss. New important characters, confessions, and major plot twists are going to take place so... decide accordingly, love <3
The prince along with his soldiers moved about all the hills and grasslands along the eastern zone that was mostly empty all night long to find nothing but sudden Cracklings in the bushes.
Eshant Raj, being an exceptional specialist in his field, could sense the presence of a third person other than them but somehow did not manage to catch one.
He circled the whole estate to make sure none of his townsmen had to face any absurdities.
After a long tiring night, he ordered the soldiers to go back and send a new set of soldiers to toil around the border.
Some senses inside him prevented him from taking this matter lightly.
After the new set of men arrive, he finally takes his leave.
He could feel his horse, Kanha, already so worn out from the night.
The black epitome of beauty ran towards the palace uphill at a great pace.
Eshant's eyes were heavy on his face by the time he reached the palace.
The palace gates were open as always. His horse swiftly ran inside and came to a halt when three workers appeared around it to take him to the stable.
Eshant looked at the campus on the other side of the wall that stood in between out of habit. His eyes turned shallower when he could not find the one he was looking for in her familiar places.
It has been so long since he was spared a glance of hers.
She was as if nowhere to be found.
No windows, no balconies, no houses... nowhere.
He sent a messenger inside a few days ago to find she was mostly stuffed in her room these days.
What happened to Shefali?... he spelled her name once before jumping off his beloved horse.
"Where were you, Chote Chauhan?"
Asked the oldest maid of the palace who took care of all the royal children of the palace once.
"Responsibilities, aai (Mother)"
Replied Eshant before smiling dryly feeling his spine almost giving up on him.
He was never too tired to pass his aai, who was no less than his biological mother, a kind heartfelt smile.
"The king has been waiting for you in the court"
She informs as soon as the other servants leave with the horse.
Eshant's tired eyes as if got a new flicker of life in them.
"Since when?"
Although he asks the question, he does not wait for the answer but runs inside the courtroom through the huge door in the middle.
Normally, the royal court is not this crowded with kingsmen but today it surprisingly was.
The royal messenger announced the prince's arrival and Eshant Raj walked inside with his wrinkled clothes and ruffled hair from under his pagri.
