Kanha ran with the speed of winds, blood dripping on his skin from the cloth that was tied on Shefali's waist to stop the blood from flowing out.

Eshant pulled the rope whenever he felt a tug in his heart when he looked at Shefali's sweaty face to make Kanha run faster.

Within an extraordinarily short period, Kanha reached the capital town.

The sun was out and so were the people.

It was a spectacle for the people who stood and watched the prince holding an unconscious girl in his arms with concern radiating out of his skin.

That was the first time the people of the town saw Shefali with her royal's presence. Most of them were stunned and a very few folded their hands praying for the girl who was still bleeding in the prince's arm.

"Move out of the way!"

Eshant shouted as Kanha entered the royal gates.

He jumped down and held up Shefali.

"Eshant?"

Rajveer interrupted him as he was making his way inside the palace.

"It would be wiser to treat her in the brothel"

Rajveer walked off his horse.

"From today onwards, she is not going out of my sight. Do you understand?"

Eshant said, his fear and concern turning into agony.

Rajveer bowed his head down knowing very well, even if unintentionally, the arrow was shot from his bow.

Eshant ran inside the inner palace ignoring every eye that was stuck at him on his way.

He kicked open his room's door and laid her in his bed.

His hands were now shaking.

He had already instructed a soldier to bring the Raj Vyad on his way.

"Lakshmi,"

Eshant shouted as he saw a maid walking past his room.

"Call Aai"

He instructed.

"Fast!"

He roared.

He sat on the floor and put his index finger near her nose. He felt relieved when he could feel her breath on his skin.

He whipped off the sweat from her face with both his hands.

"Shefali?"

He said softly, his hands cold in fear.

"Please..."

He could not speak when his vision was blurred by hot tears.

How long has it been since he cried the last time? He could probably not remember.

"Chote Chauhan?"

Aai walked inside with a hand on her lips in shock.

Not because he had brought a prostitute into his room like most of the others would have but because the girl who lay in the bed was a mess of her own blood.

"Do something"

Eshant said turning to her, a single tear running down his cheek.

Aai walked forward and quickly asked the other maids to bring some equipment to treat her minimally until the Vyad arrived.

"Get out for now"

Aai instructed as she untied the wet cloth torn down from his kurta.

"But-"
