"Where is Shefali, Devansh?"

Eshant asked still looking at the chain in Ekta's hand.

A sudden Sweat appeared on Devansh's temple.

"W-who Shefali?"

Devansh stuttered.

Eshant looked back at the cowardly man.

Rajveer tuned at Devansh in disbelief.

"You know very well who Shefali is"

Eshant declared in a lethal blow.

"How do you expect one to accept their sin so easily?"

Ekta said with dreadful eyes.

"Ekta"

Devansh hissed.

"Stopping me won't lessen your misdeeds, Bare bhaiya"

Ekta said with the angst she has been suppressing from all these years of ill-treatment.

Eshant did not know if to worry about what might have happened here when he was gone or to gasp at the sudden change in his sister's behavior.

No one has ever witnessed Ekta standing up for herself.

Ekta cannot be really blamed for her lack of boundaries though. She had happened to believe herself as someone inferior to anyone here. That is how they have always portrayed her.

The only person who had ever made her feel loved was lying on his bed helplessly for over a month now.

"What is the matter? Your father is sleeping inside..."

Rani-sa came out with a concerned look.

Dadi-sa and Bindya followed her into the courtyard almost immediately.

The soldiers departed giving them a privacy they very evidently needed.

Eshant looked away, irritated.

The last thing he wanted was the whole family's presence in a conversation so personal. His family was never close to him... Never until his father's second marriage.

"Nothing"

Devansh blurted quickly.

"How is it nothing? I asked you where Shefali is"

Eshant asked again not caring to collect others' expressions.

"How will he know where that courtesan is?"

Dadi-sa demanded.

Eshant's teeth gritted almost immediately at her intervention and also at her carefully framed wordings.

"You know very well how might bare bhaiya know"

Ekta said in a timid voice.

Bindiya looked at her daughter in surprise.

"Who do you think you are to talk between me and my grandsons? You child of a house wrecker"

Dadi-sa said slyly with round eyes.

Eshant glanced at Bindiya in hopes she would say something but instead, she simply played with her long golden earrings.

"I might not be anyone to you but I certainly am a witness of the evil game you played with my friend who had nothing to do with your family politics"

Ekta said after gathering enough courage to.

Rani-sa gasped knowing what might happen after this.

"You disrespectful little..."
