If you are here about the next book's plot and NOTHING else (really?🥺) then please find the next BOLD LINE<3
I am a Bengali girl and I have grown up reading different novels especially historical ones, not necessarily fiction but most passionately fiction. I mostly read in English but there is this distinct novel I read in Bengali which is -- the Subarnalata trilogy.
Oh to read those books again for the first time!
If you have read the books then you'll know there is not much resemblance of those books to my book to mention it here out of nowhere. Well, there is certainly not much but there still is a bit. The character of Subarnalata's husband intrigued me to a great extent.
He loved her, cared for her yet there was so much missing.
He was the extremity of hot-headedness and ignorant of everything. He was a coward and he remained one throughout.
(Ashapurna Devi wrote it so beautifully!)
If you could guess already,
Yes, the godfather of Eshant's Character is him. Probodh.
But I tried to give him a character development through the series of events in life. I wrote how change is the only persistent thing in life so why not let it be for the good?
I enjoyed writing this book so much. I wrote about things I wished to read in books as a young teen.
Also yes, this book doesn't contain smut and I am so proud that we, this family who stayed with me till the end, have readers who enjoyed the writing, the plot, the characters, and everything to the core and not because of something irrelevant to the plot. I am not against books that contain smut but the books which only show smut in the name of plot. This is also a reason why Wattpad took down so many books, unfortunately, some good books too. I was, although, not worried about mine since this book doesn't contain any. Close intimacy of a sudden hand brush gives me so much more butterflies than a heavy smut session lol.
I wrote it separately because many of you might have expected a bit of smut. I might include some in the future but as of now, this book is full of innocence lol<3
I tried my best to bring in the flavor of regal royal romance with the quiet afternoons, prayer-chanting evenings, and warm winter nights. The tiny spheres set in Bengal hold so many memories because some things really do not change! The story in Rajputana was all my knowledge and research. Hope you loved it as much as I did.
ABOUT THE NEXT BOOK
The next book in the series could be about Eashwara or about Ekansha.
The two plots I had thought of were pretty interesting in their own ways. Here's a brief--
Eashwara's book would contain:
Faking identities;
Set in a different kingdom;
Rivals to lovers;
She deceives/ his revenge;
AND SO MUCH MORE THAT I DON'T WANT TO SPOIL.
Ekansha's book would contain:
Forced marriage;
Set in Bengal under Nawabs;
Cross religion;
Opposite grumpy sunshine;
Life threat.
I NEED TO STILL DECIDE ON THE ENDING THOUGH.
I am yet to decide which book to write first but all I know is that it won't contain two women drama and the cliche thing.
Which one would you like to read first?
I can start writing the chapters now but the updates would be slow or I can post chapters from June next year with regular updates. What would you prefer?
Do let me know and thank you again for sticking around for so long!❤️✨🫂
