Don't insist on going away today
Eshant threw the flower vase on the floor and it shattered into pieces.
He was angry, restless, frustrated, and caged.
"What do I do?"
He shouted kicking on the broken pieces that were scattered all over his room's floor.
He put his pagri on the bed and started walking around the room like a mad bull.
"Chote Chauhan?"
Drucilla walked inside with a tray of food for his breakfast.
Eshant did not stop walking until he reached his balcony.
"How did it break?"
She asked and walked out to bring a maid.
"Clean this up asap"
She instructed.
Drucilla slowly walked inside the balcony.
Her eyes softened at her little brother.
"Eshant?"
She said holding his shoulder sensing his unusually tensed behaviour.
"What would you do?"
Eshant asked all of a sudden, still looking at the empty lawn beneath.
"Huh?"
She asked, confused.
"What would you do if you were to choose between being a Rajputi Baisa and your duties to Sardar Amar?"
He asked blankly looking at her.
She looked at him for a while, thinking, and then smiled at him briefly.
Her hand slowly rose up to his already ruffled hair and she caressed his head lovingly.
"I would of course choose to be by my husband's side because I vowed for it amidst the sacred fire"
She said turning around, leaning against the railing of the balcony.
Eshant listened to her with round eyes.
"But you should not compare yourself with me, Chote Chauhan"
She says eyeing him on the side.
"You are a prince of Rajputana, the whole estate looks up to you for their survival and who am I? A daughter of this family. I will go to my in-laws after gauna. That is until I am a part of this family but you, you have greater responsibilities which need sacrifices of one's own will"
She said standing straight and moving into the room.
Then something stopped her probably.
She turned her head back to the depressed prince.
"Eshant,"
She said and Eshant's head swung up to face her glance.
"Sometimes we should move our heart and let our mind take control, you never know, this way you might find a way to do justice to your responsibilities and your wantings both. You never know, you might find a way that touches both the destinations you want to so vividly reach"
She said and grinned before walking out of the room knowing she was not a princess talking to the prince just now. Instead, she was an older sister guiding her brother in a way, she knew, no one else would have.
"Isn't that too strange to advise to a man who is allergic to sensibility?"
He says under his breath.
