The morning went by like a storm.

Shefali woke up late and refused to have anything in the morning.

She sat near the window all day trying to figure out when the men left and when they came back, to find a scope to flee away.

Only if he had not stopped me yesterday, she sighs.

She felt her heart turning heavy every time she thought of the Eshant saw yesterday, in the morning.

It seemed so effortless for him to disregard her mere existence as if he had never met her anyway.

Eshant Raj Chauhan was still a bundle of knots for Shefali. Just when she thinks she understands him, he does something unexpected shaking her from her belief.

She knew it was too selfish to wish for, a bit too much to wish for even yet she wished Eshant could somehow help her out. Especially if he doesn't let her run away on her own.

"It's nonsense. He is a warrior prince... there is no way he would remember me out of all the works he must be bundled with"

She said while holding the iron grill of the window.

She could not let herself believe that someone could so selflessly think of someone else's well-being after everything she had to go through since she was born.

Affection always came in deficiency for this little girl.

Probably it was her destiny to not be granted any of it just as everyone else is. Instead, it was her challenge to earn love and respect throughout her eventful life so that someday she could feel elsewise of the happenings of life.

The sun had sunk under the green mountains afar a long time ago.

Time did not seem to pass in here yet the day seemed to be almost over.

Slight dusty winds blew across that particular side of the palace boundary.

A dust particle reached her eye and she rubbed her eyes immediately.

She stood up still feeling the irritation in her eye when the door to her room opened.

She forgot about the irritant in her eye and stared at Ahmed who stood inside the room now.

His smile spread all over his face and colour left hers.

He locked the door behind him and Shefali frowned in fright and shock.

"What do you want?"

Shefali asked knowing if she gave in, she'd regret it later.

"Such a beautiful voice"

He said like a madman.

She swallowed.

Ahmed stepped closer looking at her from head to toe as if he were waiting for tonight since yesterday.

"What do you want?"

Shefali shouted this time making him fall out of a certain spell he was probably in.

He smirked with his sharp eyes and walked forward wordlessly.

"Stay away from me!"

Shefali threw a little statue that stood on the table by the side of her bed on his way, her voice shaking.

"Such a rebellious whore"

He said kicking the broken pieces inside the bed as he kept moving forward.

Shefali's back touched the wall as she walked backwards.

"Eshant Raj won't spare you if you touch me"
