I slowly opened my eyes, and noticed I was laying in a bed in the hospital wing. I heard people talking, and then Madam Pomfrey saying: "Ah you're awake."
I sat right up, and saw she was talking to Harry and Hermione. I felt a bit better than before, but still not amazing. I mean, I was almost killed by a Dementor.
Madam Pomfrey gave me a piece of chocolate when she saw that I was awake too.
I looked at my arm and saw that Madam Pomfrey had healed the wound.
"How's Ron?" Hermione asked.
"He's alright. But the rest of you will stay here for now."
Harry put on his glasses and took up his wand from his bedside table.
"I'm going to see the Headmaster," he said.
"It's alright," Madam Pomfrey said. "They've got Black, he's locked away. The Dementors will be performing the Kiss any minute now."
"What?!" Harry and I said. I jumped out of my bed, and the other two followed. No, no, no. They couldn't kill my father.
Fudge and Snape suddenly entered the room, and asked Harry what was going on.

"Listen!" Harry said. "He's innocent. Peter Pettigrew faked his own death. We saw him! You can't let the Dementors take Sirius-"
Fudge just smiled back as if Harry was mad.
"Harry, listen. You're very confused, I understand, but we've got everything under control-"
"No you haven't!" I yelled, running towards them. "He's innocent! You have the wrong man!" My heart started beating faster. This could not happen.
Hermione started too, but Snape went against her.

For the first time I was happy that Dumbledore entered the room.
"Professor, please, you've got to let my father go! He's innocent!" I pleaded, instantly running to him.
After a while of convincing, Snape, Fudge and Madam Pomfrey left the room, because Dumbledore wanted to speak with only the three of us.

"There is very little time, so you must listen to me," Dumbledore said, after he had shut us up. There is no proof that Sirius Black is innocent, only the word of thirteen year olds, and hardly anyone will believe that."
Rude.
"Professor Lupin can tell you-" Harry started, but Dumbledore cut him off.
"Lupin is now in the Forest, and when he is back to being a human, it will be too late. What you need, is time."
He looked specifically at Hermione. I didn't get it, but Hermione seemed to.
"But- oh!" Her eyes went big when she got what he meant, whatever that was.
"Now pay attention," Dumbledore continued. I was still confused. Could we still save my father?
"Sirius is locked in Flitwick's office, on the seventh floor, thirteenth window from the right of the West Tower. You could be able to save more than one innocent life tonight. But remember, miss Granger, you must not be seen. You know the law."
What? What did he mean with 'save more than one life'?
"I'm going to lock you in. Five minutes to midnight. Miss Granger, three turns should do it. Good luck."
Dumbledore left the room and closed the door.

"Good luck?" Harry repeated. "What are we doing?"
"Come here, both of you," Hermione said. Harry and I exchanged confused looks, and then did as she said.
Out of her robes, she got a very long chain, with an hourglass at the end of it. She put it around our necks.
"Ready?" Hermione said as she looked at us. I was starting to see what we were doing.
"Yes," I said confidently.
She turned the hourglass three times, and everything started to move around us in a blur, as if we were moving very fast.
After a while, it stopped. We stood in the Entrance Hall. It was day again. We had gone back in time.

"In here!"
Hermione dragged us into a cupboard.
Harry still seemed confused.
"How- what is happening?" he asked, whispering.
"We've gone back in time," Hermione stated. "Three hours back."
Right. We heard noises.
"Shh, I think that might be us," Hermione said. "We're going to Hagrid's."
When the past us were gone, Harry looked at Hermione.
"Where did you get that?"
"It's a Time-Turner. Professor McGonagall gave it to me on the first day, so I could go to several lessons at a time. I could go to a class, go back in time and go to another class. But I still don't get how this is going to help Sirius."
"Why did you never tell us?" I said. "That is brilliant!"
"And risky," Harry said.
