It was again extreme hot. Neville and I were lazily sitting in his room, because outside it was even warmer.
"What's that?" Neville asked, who sat by the open window.
I looked outside, and something white came flying to us. It flew straight to me, and it was only then that I saw it was Hedwig, Harry's owl. She had four mini rolls bound to her leg. I took one, and immediately she started picking my hand.
"Ouch, Hegwig, stop it!" I said, retreating my hand. "I'll read it, what's your hurry?"
I unrolled the letter and kept my hand away from Hedwig. I read out loud."I've been attacked by Dementors and I might be expelled from Hogwarts. I want to know what's going on and when I'm going to get out of here."
"Dementors attacked Harry?" Neville said in shock. In a Muggle village?"
"Aren't Dementors like, from the Ministry?" I said.
"They guard Azkaban, the Ministry makes sure of that."
"Well, of course he had to use magic, then."
I frowned.
"One sec."I raced downstairs to ask mum. We were on alright terms again, sort of.
"Mum?"
"Yes, dear?"
"Harry just sent me a letter that Dementors attacked him, and that he's going to be expelled because he used magic."
"Well, there'll be a hearing soon," mum sighed, as if she was disappointed he didn't get expelled immediately. "But what you say is true."
"That Dementors attacked him? Shouldn't the Ministry keep an eye on them?"
"No, why on earth would Dementors go to a Muggle place and attack Harry Potter?"
"I don't know."
"Precisely. He's probably just imagining things. Magic is no longer safe with him."
"What do you mean? He wouldn't use the Patronus Charm out of nowhere. And that's not even a dangerous spell."
"He is underage," mum said, raising her voice above mine. "He's not allowed to do magic outside of Hogwarts."It was as if she settled the matter, and I went back upstairs, with no useful information at all.
"I heard it," Neville said, before I could speak. I saw scratches on his hands.
"Did Hedwig bite you too?"
"Yeah," he said, rubbing his hands. "Those letters are not for us. I reckon Harry sent them to Sirius, and Ron and Hermione."
"Probably," I sighed. "I'll go write him the disappointing news then."
I wrote that mum confirmed that he would be expellled, but that from the Ministry's perspective no Dementors ever attacked.
"Send that back," I said to Hedwig, as I bound the letter to her leg. She hooted, and was off. No reply came, but a few days later, something else came.We were having breakfast, with mum, because it was her day off, when there was a loud noise outside.
I stood up to see what it was. It was mr Weasley, in his car.
"Mr Weasley?" I asked confused. "Did Ron send an invite? Cause it didn't arrive then..."
"No, he didn't," mr Weasley said. "I'm inviting you two. But hurry, please, mrs Weasley will grow impatient. Is it okay if I take them for a few days?"
Mr Weasley looked at mum.
"Yeah, sure," she said, as confused as us.
"Alright."
Luckily, we were already dressed, so we finished breakfast, rushed upstairs to pack some clothes in a small trunk. I grabbed my wand, fixed my hair, and rushed back.We quickly said goodbye, got in the back of the car, and were off.
"What's the rush, mr Weasley?" I asked.
"Are we going to the Burrow?" Neville asked.
"No, we're not going to the Burrow. It takes a while to get where we need to be, that's why I'm so early."
He paused, and glanced at us.
"Don't tell mrs Weasley."
"Wha-" Neville started, but then we were in the air.
"It's faster," mr Weasley said, and pressed a button, so the car went invisible.
"Where are we going?" Neville asked.
"Can't tell you here, could be heard."
"Is it... secret?" I asked.
"A bit. You've never been there, I reckon."What seemed after an age later, we arrived at 'the place.' We were looked up at houses, number eleven and thirteen.
"Do we... walk through? Like at platform nine and three quarters?"
"Not quite," mr Weasley said. He looked exactly between the two houses, and an extra house appeared out of nowhere, pushing the other two out of the way.
"Come on, quickly now."
We followed mr Weasley, who tapped his wand to the door, that looked extremely old and unused. We went inside, as I looked confused at Neville. He shrugged as confused as me.
