POV SUNSET

Another day of school was waiting for me. After the troubled weekend - but also fun thanks to the girls - I didn't care so much about following a normal teenage life, going to school and studying things that I didn't consider important. I got to school on time, as incredible as it seemed. I found Applejack in the hallway as soon as I entered the building.

- Oia only those who woke up - mocked as soon as they saw me - what got you out of bed?

- Just my huge thirst for knowledge - I joked, pretending to be inspired - I can't wait for math class.

- Don't even tell me - sighed the blonde - I can't stand that subject anymore.

- I don't think anyone wanted a class like this to start the week - smiles on the side.

- You're right - he agreed and adjusted his hat on his head - at least everyone is in the same boat.

- Positive thoughts AJ - I patted him on the back.

I had my first classes with no one to talk to. In none of them were anyone I talked to, I had to fight not to fall asleep in at least 90% of the class time. I passed Pinkie in the hallway at one point, but we couldn't talk, the exchange of teachers was fast, we didn't have enough time to even have a decent dialogue.

The break signal sounded through the corridors, indicating the end of my math class. I was not the only one to breathe a sigh of relief when the class was over, most students were not happy to spend an hour seeing numbers. I put away my supplies and left the room, heading to the cafeteria. I watched the place until I found Applejack and Rainbow Dash at the table we used to have a snack on. Before sitting down, I picked up some food in the canteen to refuel myself, it was impossible to survive that school with an empty stomach.

- Good to see you today Dash - I greeted while sitting down - I hadn't seen you yet.

- Oh, yes - Rainbow didn't seem to have seen me coming - good to see you too.

Rainbow had a not very excited countenance on his face, he seemed to have received not so pleasant news.

- What did I miss? - I asked confused, alternating my gaze between the two girls sitting next to me.

- Don't ask me - Applejack pointed to Rainbow.

- It's just that... - Dash snorted - director Celestia called me today in her office.

- What did you do this time? - I asked, laughing just imagining what she had done.

- Incredibly - he continued to explain - I didn't do anything.

- So why did she call you? - asked Applejack.

I raised an eyebrow while taking a sip of the soda can.

- She said my grades are low - Rainbow leaned his back on the chair and put his hand on the back of his neck - she suggested that I, instead of going to detention, use the time to study.

- And why is that bad? - I asked - I mean, you won a free pass from detention.

- It's not quite how it works - Dash clarified - instead of going to detention, I'll have to study with someone else, which the director will choose.

I finally realized why she was so upset. Rainbow didn't like to study, but mainly, she didn't like to study with people she didn't know. Not that Dash wasn't someone sociable, but when it came to studies, she couldn't create interest.

- When I went to detention, at least I could have fun - he lamented - but now I'll have to study with someone I don't even talk to, to finally get the same grade as before!
