POV TWILIGHT

Pain, just pain. All I felt when I woke up was my head throbbing, as if a bricklayer was hammering my skull with a crusher. I didn't remember anything about the party, my last memory had been Aria asking me if I was sure I would drink more. Was that the feeling of a hangover? It seemed bad with my friends, they used to complain a lot, but I didn't know the feeling was so uncomfortable.

The first thing I noticed - besides the unbearable pain in my head - was the place where I was, I certainly hadn't been there before, I didn't recognize anything. Some guitars were hanging on the wall, there were several books on a shelf next to the bed, and the main differential, the room appeared to be on a kind of wooden mezzanine, overlooking a huge window with the curtains closed.

I sat on the bed and felt my head hurt again. I twisted my lip with every throbbing I suffered. However, my hearing was not affected, I could still hear footsteps coming from the stairs next to me. When I turned my face, I saw Sunset climbing the last steps, with a glass of water and pills in her hands.

- Oh, you woke up - she widened her eyes slightly and put the objects on the bedside table - I thought you would wake up later.

- It wouldn't be a bad thing - I complained, feeling another twinge in my head. Sunset sat on the edge of the bed, next to me.

- How are you? - She ran her fingers through my bangs and put her hand on my cheek.

- A lot of headache - I replied, rolling my eyes.

- I have medicine for this - he said, picking up the glass and the pill that were on the table - here.

I didn't get to worry about what kind of medicine I was taking, I just put it in my mouth and swallowed it with the help of water.

- I think I'll get better, thank you - I thanked her, running my hand over my forehead.

- Do you want to lie down or have coffee? - Sunset offered - I just made it.

I thought a little, pure caffeine and without any added sugar was beneficial for people who suffered from a hangover. In response, I took the covers off me and sat on the edge of the bed. Sunset took a pair of slippers for me to wear and went down the stairs. While I was going down, I was able to see better the environment where I was. Clearly it was a space for only one person to live, there was only what was necessary, a kitchen in the background, a bathroom next door and the living room, as well as a small workspace below the wooden mezzanine.

In the kitchen, I took one of the chairs to sit next to Sunset, who was drinking a cup of coffee with milk. She twisted her face a little when she saw me drink the liquid without sugar or milk, I didn't avoid making the same expression when I felt the taste, the sugar was really missing. Little by little, I felt my head hurt less, no matter how much it still bothered me a lot.

- Is this your place? - I asked Sunset when I was halfway through the cup.

- It's my apartment - he smiled - he would have known if he had gone to get his pajamas with me that time.

- I didn't know that a small building could have such a cozy apartment - I passed my eyes through the place, it was really a warm environment, although not very spacious.

- I managed to make it comfortable - she boasted - most people only rent apartments here for a few months and don't even worry about decorating, as I knew I would live here for longer, I decided to give it a makeover.

- Well - I smiled in the corner - you did a good job.

I liked the feeling of silence that had been left. Only the television reproduced noise, at a somewhat low volume. The light dispersed well around the place, that huge window I had seen was probably the reason. I took the last sip of coffee and pushed the cup on the table, not wanting to smell the bitter drink anymore. Sunset took the dirty dishes and put them next to the sink, then back to the table.
