POV SUNSET

- What do you mean I lost?! - Twilight complained, throwing the control on the empty side of the couch.

I couldn't be happier. I was enjoying time with my girlfriend in my apartment, the feeling of tranquility was simply inexplicable. Twilight rested her body against mine, sitting next to me. I imagined that I would see her angry with many things, but I didn't know that video games would be one of these things, especially a naval strategy game.

- Well, you haven't caught the practice yet - I pulled it closer - who knows, maybe in a few matches you'll score.

- But I did calculations! - she frantically pointed to a small notebook with some additions and multiplications she had made - this is just a game! How could I not make my strategy work?! I need to play once again.

Twilight took control and took a determined countenance, ready for more matches and with fire in her eyes. I didn't hesitate to take control of your hand quickly, getting an incredulous look from my girlfriend.

- Sunset! - she tried to take control of my hand, while I stretched out my arm to leave it as far away as possible - I need to play!

- Twi - I called, laughing weakly - as much as I appreciate your determination and interest in any kind of game I have, I also worry about your mental sanity.

- I just need to play one more time - she replied, in a sly voice - one more game, please...

His pupils dilated and his mouth bowed, Twilight made an abandoned dog face to me, which - as much as I tried to resist - ended up working. I extended the control to her and, before she gave the boat, I collected the object and threw a stern look at her.

- A match - I said - and please don't break the control in the process.

Twilight nodded, seeming to have understood what I had said. I gave him the control and quickly his gaze went against the television, behind the glasses there was fire and determination. I didn't know that competitive side of Twilight, I knew she was ambitious, but not competitive.

"You're a girl full of surprises, aren't you?" I smiled alone and got up from the couch, going to the kitchen to get something to drink.

I started looking for the coffee filters in the closet, but a brief look at the room and a frustrated grunting from Twilight convinced me that coffee was the worst choice at that time. I opened the fridge in the hope that there was some remaining drink. To my misfortune, there was no drink, I closed it and opened the fridge a few seconds later, waiting for a liter of soda to magically appear, however nothing had changed. Maybe I needed to go to the market after Twilight left.

I was content with just a glass of water and went back to the couch, finding Twilight scribbling on a small leaflet similar to a post-it.

- Maybe if I risk higher numbers first? Or even the very low ones, this could give me an advantage to attack over surprise and deceive the artificial intelligence of the game...

- I think I've been a terrible influence on you - I raised my eyebrow, watching Twilight's scribbles.

- No way! - she smiled excitedly - presenting this game to me was the best thing you could have done!

- Debatable - I bent my lips in a corner smile - do you think you'll win this time?

- My calculations from before did not take into account the artificial intelligence of the game, so they went wrong - their glasses slipped slightly, Twilight quickly corrected them - I think now everything should work out.

With the skills all organized and scribbles in hand, Twilight took control and started the game again. The first few minutes followed with Twilight smiling satisfied. I knew all the decorated phases - insisting on taking all the achievements of the game had not been a wise decision - so it was easy to say that the first phases did not contain the real difficulty of the game. Soon for the tenth phase, as predicted, a surprise enemy appeared. Who knew that an attack strategy and base defense game would have bosses?

My gaze fell on Twilight, with her eyes wide and her pupils contracted, frantically pressing any button that could be her salvation. It didn't take three minutes for the "game over" screen to appear on the monitor. Twilight watched television in disbelief, as if she had been betrayed by the mathematical laws themselves. I swallowed a laugh and took control of his motionless hands.

- I think you need to put one more variable in your formula - I put the control on the table, where I could get it before Twilight tried to recover it - "P" variable: practice.

The only answer I got was a frustrated grunt from my girlfriend who let her back relax and leaned against the couch. I didn't contain a little laugh and leaned against her.

- Why do I still want to play even with anger? - he asked, with a tied face.

- Games do that to people - I shrugged - it's a great way to de-stress, by the way.

- That doesn't make any sense - Twilight complained, leaning her chin on her hands. I laughed and pulled her into a hug, being interrupted by a cell phone ring next to me - who is it?

I leaned over to see the screen of his cell phone, which said in stick letters: "Cadance <3".

- Someone with the name of Cadance - I replied, handing him the cell phone, which Twilight quickly picked up.

- Hello - she said as soon as she slid her finger through the call button - now? I thought it would be at night. Are you sure? All right, you don't have to, I'm on my way.

Twilight turned off her cell phone and dropped it on the arm of the couch, followed by a sigh. I watched her worried, but I calmed down as soon as I saw her lips bend into a smile.

- Cadance wants me to go home, she and my mother need help organizing her revelation tea - Twilight explained and leaned her forehead against mine, closing her eyes - sorry for not being able to stay longer.

- No problem - I gave you an affectionate peck - you can come here whenever you want, because that game won't be reset if you come here once a month.

- I'll leave that in mind - she laughed - can you accompany me to the gate? I don't have a ride this time, so I'd better leave right away.

- I'll take you to your house - I replied as I got up from the couch and went to get my saved money - I need to go to the market anyway.

- Thank you - thank you.

Twilight put an affectionate kiss on my cheek and got up from the couch, but not without first facing the control of the video game dropped on the couch. I put my hands on her shoulders and guided her away from the couch.

- Another day Twi, another day - smiles - for your sake, and the game.
