POV APPLEJACK
I honked twice in front of the big house where Rarity lived and checked her cell phone again, checking if she hadn't canceled our meeting. After a few seconds, Rarity went out the door and came to my truck with a smile stamped on his face. I opened the car door for her to get in and received a brief kiss on the cheek. I fought against the redness that tried to dominate my freckles.
- Good afternoon dear - greeted me.
- Good afternoon - smile - I thought I wouldn't come.
- It took me only a few seconds - he arched his eyebrows.
- I'm good to score - I shrugged and turned on the truck.
- Or I was just very anxious to see myself - provoked.
- Are you already in these? We just greeted each other - I laughed.
- Oh, true - Rarity laughed - let's try to be politically correct and ethical here.
- But then what? What did you plan? - I asked, driving slowly.
- Well - Rarity joined hands - I was thinking of going to that new cafe that opened.
- That chic? - I raised an eyebrow - you know, let's go then.
The cafe was not so far from Rarity's house, we arrived at the place in a matter of ten minutes. I parked the truck, turned around and opened the door so that Rarity could get off. I extended my hand, in an attempt at chivalry. Rarity's cheeks took on a pink tone. I felt his hand slide over the palm of mine, on his face was a seductive smile, any posture of confidence I had was completely threatened.
As soon as we entered the establishment, I noticed that everything was more chic than I imagined. The decoration tried to mix rustic and modern aspects. I couldn't give an opinion on the modern part, this was something that maybe Rarity could give an opinion, but I was sure that nothing of the rustic aspect of the coffee resembled the rustic one I lived with. If Grandma Smith saw those decorations, she would probably be calling them cheesy.
- Good afternoon, welcome to Paris au lait - the receptionist greeted, formal - table for two?
- Yes, please - Rarity took the front and pulled me by the hand, followed her without hesitation.
We passed through a brief narrow corridor that led to the coffee part. It seemed like a very cozy place, even if it wasn't my style. All the employees seemed to be very concentrated and some people passed by with trays full of orders already ready.
- You can use that table more to the bottom, okay? - suggested the receptionist.
- It's great, thank you - I thanked you, holding the hem of my hat.
The woman, serious, nodded and returned to her place at the reception. Rarity and I went to the table. Along the way, I noticed some strange looks from a specific table, on which sat a woman with glasses, dyed hair - probably trying to hide the white strands - and a face that had clearly gone through various aesthetic processes.
Rarity and I settled at the table, the chairs facing each other. Our table was next to a wall with some decorative paintings and some coffee achievements. I watched the girl in front of me. Rarity seemed interested in coffee, she analyzed it as if it were a professional critic. It was clear that she went to places like that often. The way she watched everything around her gave Rarity a strange charm.
- Good afternoon, how can I help you today? - asked a waitress who had suddenly appeared next to me. Unlike the receptionist, and some other employees, she seemed really nice, she must have been eighteen years old.
