Song- Moonlight (Grace Vanderwaal)

POV TWILIGHT

- Are you sure I don't need to park? - Shining raised his eyebrow - the sun is already setting, in an hour it will be pitch black.

- You don't have to, really - I slammed the car door and leaned over the window - I'll call you in case you need anything.

My brother just nodded and left with the car, leaving me alone in the town square. The sky took on an orange color, almost similar to the leaves that fall in autumn. I sighed deeply and followed my usual path, putting one foot in front of the other calmly. There wasn't much movement, just people walking with dogs and children playing catch. I looked around, checking if no one saw me and entered the woods. I passed by bending over the twisted branches, every second I wondered if what I was doing was really right, but I never stopped walking. The trail is over, just missing to take a branch of several leaves to reveal the clearing I used to always go to. I took a deep breath and moved the branch away, having the complete view of the clearing.

It wasn't as usual. The sun no longer infested the place, it was too low for there to be more lighting. However, what most attracted my attention was some candles scattered over the stones and some white petals that were scattered all over the grass. On the larger stone — the one I lay down to read — Sunset was waiting for me, with my legs crossed, hands resting on the stone and my eyes focused on the sky. The sunset made her beautiful.

Sunset noticed my presence and got up quickly, passing his hand through the red-haired wicks and giving an embarrassed singing smile. I approached with my hands together in front of my body and admiring the place.

- Did you do it? - I asked, running my eyes through the decoration.

- I didn't want us to be in the dark - he scratched the back of his neck - and I also thought I might like it.

- I liked it - I smiled weakly - really.

We were silent, not daring to cross our eyes. It was understandable that the weather was so strange, after all, we had had a disagreement the last time we had seen each other. What I didn't expect was to feel so comfortable with Sunset there in front of me, even in that situation. We needed to talk and end the bad part of that moment.

- You called me - he said, getting an immediate look from her - do you want to say something?

- A-Ah, true - she stuttered and had a little nervous laugh - I need to say something to you.

- What would it be? - I asked, fearing the answer. I felt chills running down my spine.

- Apologies - he replied, with his gaze fixed on mine - Twilight, I was completely stupid. I realized that you were different in the games, but I didn't ask, I didn't show concern, when I should have at least asked if there was something bothering you. That moment when you said you just wanted to be by my side, I didn't have the slightest perception that you needed me. With everything happening so fast on my return I ended up not thinking about anything, all I did was stay at the moment and forget everything there was before and after. And to make matters worse, when you went out alone at the party and got drunk, I just kept wondering about what had led you to that when in fact I could have solved everything easier if I just talked to you before. You had an unbearable headache and I even insisted on disturbing you with questions and accusations. I was insensitive, so a thousand apologies.

I stopped, astonished by Sunset's words. His gaze turned to the floor and I could see some tears running down his cheeks. She was worried, just as Starlight had told me. Sunset Shimmer really seemed to care about me. My conscience, seeing her cry in front of me, began to weigh.
