POV SUNSET

I stuck my hands in my pants pockets and sat on a wooden stool that gave a great view of the park. I put on my headphones and watched the environment. The music playing gave me the feeling that I was watching a music video. A few minutes passed and I was already getting anxious. Would she come? Even if I had arranged with her by messages and asked for confirmation several times, the possibility that I had taken a cake was still around my head.

My thoughts were interrupted when a figure stood out in the landscape. The blue T-shirt, with a high-waisted shorts on top, a sneaker and a crossed bag hanging on his shoulder, his hair was stuck in a ponytail. She saw me and smiled, coming to me. Twilight had come to meet me.

- Hi Sunset - he greeted me as soon as he got close to me - sorry I was late, I didn't want to keep you waiting.

- All right, I was listening to music for a while, I was fine - I lied, I didn't want to look like a desperate woman who almost freaked out for a few minutes late.

Twilight smiled, she seemed excited to be there. I was too, but in a good part of me the nervousness dominated.

- I liked the clothes - I praised - it looks good on you.

The contrast was funny. While I wore torn pants, jacket and boots, Twilight had a softer look, which fit perfectly well on her.

- Ah, thank you - looked away - you look beautiful too, well, your clothes look good on you too.

I had a weak laugh watching Twilight get in the way in her own words, it was, to say the least, adorable. I realized she was a little embarrassed.

- So, what do you want to do? - I asked, trying to break the ice.

- Well, I was hoping you would tell me what we were going to do - he laughed.

- I would make no decision without consulting you - I said - and also, I had not thought very well about this part.

- To be honest, I didn't either - Twilight admitted - but what do you think of us going for a walk here in the park anyway? Maybe we won't decide what to do?

- That's great for me - I smiled and joined her, staying by her side.

We started walking, watching the place, the people, looking for anything to do besides walking. We talked about some nonsense: music, TV shows, books... Our conversation ended when we both saw an ice cream stall. We exchanged fun looks. It wasn't hot, but it wasn't too cold either, nothing was forbidding us. We sat on a bench, each one with their own ice cream and huge smiles.

- That was the best idea we both had - he said after tasting some of yours.

- Ice cream is always the best idea - I smiled and gave another spoonful.

We were finishing our ice cream at the same speed. However, on one side was Twilight, who had not even used the napkin, on the other was me, who had somehow left chocolate ice cream on his nose and cheek. Twilight tried to hold back the laugh, but her face delivered that I was dirty.

- I made a mess, right? - I rolled my eyes.

- He did, but it wasn't so bad - he laughed - calm down, let me help.

Twilight took her unused napkin and gently approached my face, passing it where I had soiled with ice cream. My heart accelerated the beats, just as it had happened when I danced with her on the terrace. Twilight kept her hand on my face, I realized that she was watching me, analyzing. Whether it's because of the ice cream or not, it made me nervous enough to divert my face and cut off eye contact. A smile escaped my lips.
