POV SUNSET

If anyone didn't know that there would be an event at Canterlot High, it wouldn't take long to find out when they arrived at school. Principal Celestia and Deputy Principal Luna recommended that Canterlot High students go to school to welcome Crystal Prep students, even if the games started an hour and a half later. The front of the school was full of students, most with the blue and yellow uniform of the Wondercolts, the name of the Canterlot High teams.

He was next to Rainbow Dash, who wore his football team uniform, and Applejack, who was wearing casual clothes, just like me. I lay down on the statue in order to rest my body a little, it had been a long time since we were there, no sign of the chic Crystal school buses.

- Did something happen? So kind of late - Applejack commented, checking the time on his cell phone.

- The traffic was kind of bad today, that could be it - Dash shrugged and played with a soccer ball between his feet.

- I hope they don't take long - I sighed loudly - I'm starting to get nervous.

- What's the problem, sweetie? Don't you want to see Starlight? - Applejack put his hand on my shoulder.

- I'm going to meet my friend, in person, for the first time - I explained - what if we don't get along? What if the conversation gets weird?

- Relax babe, she's probably thinking the same thing on the bus - Rainbow Dash briefly patted me on the back - and anyway, there will be the whole group to talk to, there's no way to get weird.

- I hope - I hugged my body - thank you girls.

- Capable, that's what we do - Applejack smiled.

- But speaking of delay, wasn't it for the rest of the group to be already arriving? - Dash positioned his hand above his forehead and squeezed his eyes, trying to see further in the distance.

- Pinkie went to tidy up the gym with teacher Cheerilee, she asked for help from the best party party in school - laughs weakly - Twilight said she was going to come with Fluttershy and Rarity.

- Are they there? - Applejack asked, watching over my shoulder.

I turned back and noticed a car parking across the street. It was a humble vehicle but very well maintained, it seemed small and comfortable. It was no surprise to us when Fluttershy walked out the driver's door. Rarity and Twilight left soon after. Rarity had obviously insisted that they wear at least something that resembled the Wondercolts' uniform. While Rarity wore an extravagant yellow shirt with several embroidered gold details, in addition to matching accessories, Fluttershy wore only a yellow blouse and some blue accessories, I figured she didn't want to draw attention. Twilight did not wear accessories, just a blue long-sleeved T-shirt, with the coat of arms of the Wondercolts in the center, it was a garment that students received as a gift every beginning of the school year. Even if simple, the T-shirt fits it very well.

Rarity hurried the step as soon as she saw us. The noise of her shoe increased as she approached and threw herself into Applejack's arms, taking her arms around her neck and hugging the strong blonde. In response, she received a chaste peck on her lips. Fluttershy and Twilight arrived side by side, smiling and waving to me and Rainbow Dash, who rolled their eyes at the couple next door.

Twilight timidly came to my side and I intertwined our hands. I received an affectionate kiss from her cheek and I felt my heart get hotter.

- Did you take so long, was the traffic bad? - I asked.

- A little, but that was not the reason - Twilight smiled and rolled her eyes - Rarity implied that we should show our school pride.

- Darlings, the situation requires appropriate clothing - Rarity justified himself - I even have some things I saved for the emergency.

From his pants pocket, Rarity pulled some blue and yellow ribbons. Gently, she took the longest ones and decorated Applejack's hat, which did not seem to resist, on the contrary, she just watched the girl work with a smile on her face. Rarity quickly braided the two remaining ribbons and tied it to my wrist. I didn't fight against it, it was just a bracelet, at least for me, Rarity seemed proud to have helped with our "uniforms".

- Now we are all in the spirit of the games - Rarity clapped his hands excitedly, making us smile.

Twilight shook her head and shook her hand, that's when I noticed that she was holding something hidden in her hands.

- What do you have there? - I asked curiously.

- No big deal - she tried to disguise it, but the stuttering in her voice already denounced her.

- Show her Twilight, I'm sure you'll love it - Rarity smiled convinced.

- I'm not going to show you anything! - Twilight got her cheeks a little red.

- Not that one, and here we go again - Fluttershy grumbled to herself.

- What is it? - Dash asked next to me - what does she have there?

- The reason we were so late - Fluttershy replied - they discussed it all the way.

Twilight was with her arms crossed and hiding what she was holding. Rarity insisted that she show it to us. I got more confused every moment.

- No more freshness Twilight, show soon what it is - Applejack said without patience.

The firmness in Applejack's speech seemed to convince Twilight, who - very reluctantly - handed over in my hands the object she tried so hard to hide. My questions had been answered, but at the same time several others were emerging. I was trying to understand why Twilight was hiding a tiara of horse ears.

- Gave, that's it, a tiara, happy? - Twilight made a sulky face, which made her more cute than threatening.

- I got lost - Dash said, simple.

- I'm trying to convince Twilight from an early age to wear this tiara to match her T-shirt - Rarity clarified - it's to represent the Wondercolts' mascot!

The blue base matched the color of Twilight's t-shirt, and the ears, yellow, were the same tone as the coat of arms. Twilight took the tiara from my hands and hid it behind her again.

- I already told you! I'm going to be ridiculous about this - she complained.

- Wait, is that your concern? - I asked with a smile on my side - to be ridiculous?

- It's an ear tiara we're talking about - she lifted the object in front of me.

- Okay, okay - I stood in front of her and laughed low - lend it here.

I stole the accessory from Twilight's hands and gently arranged it on her head. I took a few steps back, so that I could have a better view of how she had turned out. Twilight was adorable, I knew there was no chance of her getting ridiculous, and as Rarity should have known, the tiara matched very well.

Twilight turned her face reddish, with curved lips and an embarrassed countenance stamped on her face. She stared at me in the corner and looked away as soon as she saw me smiling. I had a good laugh and she looked at me again.

- That's terrible, isn't it? - She bent her mouth and rolled her eyes.

I approached her and gave her a long kiss on the forehead, with my hands holding her face. I could see his body relax with my act and his look seemed less tense.

- You look perfect - I praised.

We exchanged affectionate glances and felt his arms squeeze me, pulling me into a needy hug. I reciprocated the hug and let her hold me as much as she wanted, there was no way I could refuse anything that came from her.

Our moment did not last long, and surprisingly what had interrupted had not been any of our friends, but a loud noise of bursting, followed by several confetti flying. In fact, it had been one of our friends who had released the confetti - obviously Pinkie Pie - however, other screams were heard, and when I turned around, I understood the reason for the noise.

The Crystal Prep bus had finally arrived.
