POV SUNSET

- In all these years living alone, it's the first time this has happened to me.

I complained alone, sitting on the couch with Ray walking on his shoulders, circling my arm and watching me from time to time. I've never been so bored my whole life. Usually, on tedious Thursdays, Applejack, Rainbow Dash or Pinkie would call me to do something, and I would agree without even thinking. However, Applejack was busy with the farm's chores, and Pinkie was going to visit her family's farm, along with her sister Maud. Rainbow Dash had not commented on anything, and when I asked her if she wanted to leave, she just told me that she already had "scheduled plans". I was surprised that she was so shallow in the answer, but I thought it was better to ask another time and leave her quiet in the afternoon.

Not that I had nothing to do, I had some schoolwork to finish and several games to zero, but I just couldn't create the will to do anything alone at that moment, I was completely in need of company.

- What do I do now, Ray? - I asked, looking up as my little lizard insisted on passing through the top of my head.

Before I could continue my monologue, something made me alert quickly, almost letting Ray fall to the ground. The lizard ran to my lap and shrank there. I took my cell phone that was playing and accepted the call right when I saw the heart emoji in the contact's name.

- Hello? - I called, excited.

- Hi Sunset - Twilight's sweet voice made some butterflies fly in my stomach - how are you?

- With boredom - laughs weakly - and you?

- The same as you, that's why I called - she laughed, and I could only imagine your smile - do you want to meet in a little while?

- Why would I say no, right? - smiles beast - where do you want to meet?

- I thought of us going to the park, walking there... - he replied - as we usually do.

- It doesn't seem like a bad idea to me, but... - I twisted my lip - could we do something different?

- What do you mean? - her insecure voice made me twist my mouth more, I hated leaving her like that.

- I love going to the park with you, of course - I reassured her - but we always go there, Twi, couldn't we vary? Only today?

- But where would we go? - she asked. I was afraid to suggest, but if I didn't have an idea, what would we have left, right?

- Maybe you, I don't know - I squeezed my eyes and shrunk my body on the couch, Ray went up to my forearm - don't you come here at home?

- N-At your house? - I could hear her stutter - I was only there once, when we fought, and, I mean, are we already at this stage? I mean, we've only been dating for a few weeks and...

- Twilight Sparkle - I called, interrupting her - relax, I'm just calling you to come to my house, let's watch a movie, talk and spend a quiet time together, no big deal.

- I... - she was quiet, for a short time - all right, I'll ask my father to leave me in front of his building in a little while.

- All right, I'll wait for you - smile - just call me when you're leaving the house.

- Leave it to me - I felt a warm feeling inside me - see you soon.

- Even - I smiled and hung up the call.

I opened the door of the Sugarcube Corner, feeling the sweet aroma that came behind the counter and infested the entire customer area, making their mouths water and anxiety, thirsty for their requests. I approached the counter slowly, behind him, Mrs. Cake was waiting for me with a smile on her face.

- Good afternoon, Sunset - she greeted me - how are you?

- Good afternoon, I'm fine, thank you - I replied - calm day today?

- Today you didn't come at a time when most of our clientele like to show up - she laughed - what can I do for you today, dear? The usual coffee?

- Actually - I scratched the back of my neck - I wanted to take a strawberry pie, and two coffees.

- Buying food for two? This one is new - she raised her eyebrow, surprised, writing down my order - you usually buy more than a coffee when your friends are together, not alone.

- None of the girls were available today - I gave a dull smile - but no problem, I scheduled a good appointment for today.

- Would it be possible that this hard head finally surrendered to someone's charms? - Mrs. Cake played with her eyebrows and wrapped the pie, while the coffees were not ready.

- You can say that - I laughed nervously, after all, Mrs. Cake and I had a great affinity, it was like telling something to a very dear aunt - I've been dating for a few weeks.

- And she didn't even think about telling me! - she joked and handed me the bags with the orders already ready - I'm happy for you, my dear, you must be someone very special to break all your hardness.

- She certainly is - I agreed, while exchanging the payment - thank you again, it was great to see you again.

- At your orders - he replied - see you later, have a good date, I hope you don't get distracted and forget about the pie, it's one of the best I've ever made.

I felt my cheeks warm up quickly, I remembered then why I had avoided telling Mrs. Cake about my relationship.

- S-Mrs. Cake! Please don't make comments like that! - I shrunk, wishing I was a turtle and could hide my neck in a hoof.

- I'm kidding, Sunset - he said after a good laugh - go soon, before you're late.

I followed Mrs. Cake's advice and made my way to the exit. As the cafe was not so far from where I lived, it didn't take me more than fifteen minutes to get home. I packed the groceries on the kitchen table and waited for Twilight to arrive. After a few minutes, while I was bored with the channels on the TV, my cell phone rang, on the screen, a Twilight notification, saying it was going up. I jumped off the couch and fixed my hair that was messy. I heard the knocks on the door and walked quickly, with my hand outstretched to open the handle.

Obviously, such a reckless attitude would not be followed without a consequence. Distracted and hurried, I didn't notice a wrinkle on the carpet and I got unbalanced, having only the door as a support. Luckily for me, I just had my forehead lightly on the door.

I opened the door, massaging where I had knocked. Twilight looked at me worried, but also a little confused.

- Good afternoon - I greeted, giving a smile on the side.

- Good afternoon, are you okay? - she asked - I heard a knock on the door.

- Well - I laughed - you knocked on the door.

- A beat after mine - she smiled, convinced - and much stronger.

- Let's say something knocked on the door, besides you - I massaged my forehead again in order to reduce the pain. Twilight laughed.

- Did you manage to hit your head on the door? - she raised her eyebrow and passed her hand where I used to rub it - does it hurt a lot?

- It wasn't a big impact - I shrugged - I should forget in a few minutes.

Twilight put her hands on my face and raised hers to give me a simple kiss on the forehead. I closed my eyes with the touch and felt my body lighter. I didn't even care about the constant throbbing in my head.

By instinct - or just need - I looked for his lips and gave him a long peck, which Twilight soon deepened. It was funny how we felt the need to be close to each other.

- Come - I pulled her by the hand, catching my breath from the last contact - let's sit down.
