After becoming an official member of Team Amaya, I introduced myself to them and we trained regularly. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

I would just have to deal with an annoying girl and cocky boy for the rest of my ninja life.

Out of boredom, I told them about my friends (or at least those I considered friends) from the academy. Kurai didn't show any interest whatsoever, until I brought up Sasuke and how he was apart of the Uchiha clan.

"An Uchiha? I thought they all got wiped out..." He murmured.

I shook my head. "He's the only one left."

Aiko frowned at the mere thought of being the only member of her clan left. As long as she had her mom, she was good.

She then decided to bring up something much more enjoyable to talk about. "Hey! I know what we can talk about! The Chūnin Exams!"

Oh, right. The Chūnin Exams were going around.. and my friends were apart of it. The nine rookies.. tch. They would be doing their final round tomorrow and that would determine everything.

Kurai scoffed at her words, not wanting to be reminded by the current event going on. "Sure.. keep reminding me of what we're not apart of, Aiko. Are you angry that we're not apart of the exams or something?"

The ravenette raised an eyebrow at his last sentence. Was she angry? "...Are you angry that we're not apart of the exams?"

That struck a nerve in Kurai's body. The raven haired male got up and stormed out of the room, leaving me with Aiko.

"He'll be back!" Aiko assured me, smiling brightly. "But back to the Chūnin Exams... I want to watch, especially when we're not doing anything as a team right now."

She was right. We weren't doing any training at the moment... and I secretly wanted to see what my friends have been up to with their own teams. How strong did they get?

"..Yeah. I want to go watch too."

And so that was how it went. Aiko and I were sitting in the crowd getting ready for the exams to start. The stadium was definitely packed with people from other villages, as expected.

"Aiko, you have the popcorn, right?", I asked the ravenette, who was staring off at someone. "Aiko?" I looked at who she was staring at, only to see Kiba, who was sitting with Hinata on the row next to ours.

"Who's that, Nariko? I know you know who it is- tell me!", she shook me violently, her face turning red as she did so.

I grabbed her arms and pushed her a little. "That's Kiba. He's apart of the Inuzuka Clan.", I informed. "He also has a dog, Akamaru and they're like inseparable."

"Inseparable, Hm?", Aiko sighed happily and leaned back, watching Kiba.

"..I think he has a thing for the girl next to him."

And just like that, Aiko's love for the boy hopelessly went away. She crossed her arms and pouted, looking away from Kiba and down at where the battle was going to take place.

Kiba noticed us and looked over, blushing slightly before looking back at his teammate. "Hinata, who's that with Nariko?"

Hinata then glanced at us and squinted. "I'm not sure.. but she looks pretty. Don't you think?"
