The following chapter is set in Part One of Naruto. This means that.. I'm gonna have to move this chapter up somewhere in my book.

Every year, the beautiful and illustrious village of Konoha held a fireworks festival at the near end of July. It was a time where children traveled throughout the village with their parents thought the hundreds of stands of food, toys, snacks, and such things.
This year wasn't any different. The festival would start at dusk and the fireworks would start at 9PM. Not only do people go for the fireworks, but they go for drinking, eating, or just chatting with others.
Team Amaya were casually walking in the village when they saw a flyer for the festival.
Nariko looked over to see her teammates reaction to the flyer. Aiko was cheery as usual.. going to the festival would be a great opportunity for her to get close to people. Kurai on the other hand...
"A festival, huh..?" He asked, reading the time it started and the time it ended. "It'll probably stupid.."
Aiko shook her head at his opinion. The thought of a fireworks festival was too wholesome for her. "I think it'll be fun! You never know, Kurai."
A scoff escaped Kurai's mouth. "Fun? Yeah, right.. get real, Aiko. Who's gonna be wasting their time to come out to the village and watch some stupid fireworks display?"
The ravenette's eye twitched, but she smiled as brightly as she ever could to hide the fact that she hated his attitude at the moment. "A lot of people are gonna show up! I mean.. I'll show up. I'm currently thinking of who my date will be.."
The raven haired male's ears perked after hearing the ravenette's words. Her date..? So she would be spending her time with someone during the festival? He didn't know that, though it should have been pretty obvious. "And.. who might that person be?"
He earned a shrug from the girl, which made him look irritated. "I don't know! I guess I'll spend the entire day thinking."
After Aiko walked off, Kurai followed behind, as if pleading for her to make up her mind at that very moment.
Nariko watched her teammates leave, then she glanced back at the flyer. "A fireworks festival... huh."
It would be the first time Nariko had gone to a festival since she was younger.. to be more specific, at three years old. As a child going to the festival, she remembered being happy. Now that she was twelve, there was only one word to explain her changed behavior...
Puberty.
Puberty is what made Nariko not care about festivals. It wasn't like she hated them, or that she was jealous of not having a date, but rather just her losing interest in the whole thing.
"..Yeah. I'm not going."
The brown skinned girl flipped her hair and walked away from the flyer. She had no interest whatsoever about the festival.. none.

As Nariko walked in the village, she saw Team 7. Whenever she saw them, it was the usual thing with the three. Naruto being loud and obnoxious as ever, Sakura hitting him and obsessing over Sasuke, and Sasuke being the emo guy.
Anyway, they were talking about... yes, the fireworks festival.
"A fireworks festival? All right!" The blond exclaimed happily as he heard the exciting news from Sakura.
Sasuke turned away from his teammates after hearing something like that. "Tch.."
"Yep, that's right! A fireworks festival.." Sakura mumbled the last three words as she eyed Sasuke up and down, a bit of blush crept on her face.
