Finally

Marinette's pov :

"Yes."
I pushed the stack of paper against his chest which he took.
"Then I want those papers signed when I come back. " I said fighting back tears as I walked out the door.
After I left Tim's office. I saw two man who came up onto the fifth level.
"Where's Mr.Drakes office?"one of them asked. " We have a meeting." The other one with the big backpack said.
Something felt off but I didn't have the energy to care. "Seventh floor,third room on the right. "I answered in passing barley holding it together.

Tim's pov:

I stood in the same place she had left me even after the door closed. I started shaking with rage.
"Damn it!!" I screamed throwing the papers on the ground. Tears streamed down my face as I started throwing anything and everything I could lift across the room. I sank onto the floor and buried my head in my hands.
........

Then I heard a hissing sound like compressed air beeing let out.
♤Haha!♤ A weird voice started laughing and getting louder all around me. I looked up and saw nothing but darkness. ♤Crying like a little baby. How sad♤ a raspy voice taunted.
"Who are you?! What is going on?!" I asked getting up into a fighting stance.
♤No wonder she wants to get away from you.♤, "What? Who?"
♤Come on Drake you not that dumb. ♤, "Marinette?", I whispered.
♤Ofcourse I mean her. Pretty little thing. Isn't she? ♤ it cackled.
"Leave Marinette out of this! Or..... "
♤Or what? How do you plan on fighting something in your head?... Hahaha....You know what I'll give you something to fight. ♤ just as it finished it's sentence two monsters appeared. One of them had a whip and a bat.
The other a dagger.

Marinette's pov:

On my way down I heard screams. I ran as fast as I could. When I reached the lobby an employ bumped into me.
She was screaming and hitting all around herself as if she was swatting bees away.
Then I saw a man in a gas mask and before I knew it I was enveloped in green gas. I closed my eyes and coughed.
When I looked back up I was in Paris. Everything was burning ,body's of people I loved where scattered everywhere and a familiar person stood a few feet away.
"You have no idea what a mistake you just did. " Lila laughed. "What?" I took a step back.
"He is your comfort zone. Admit it or not but you were relived that you weren't completely alone when you found out he was your boss.", "That's ....", "Totally true.But now.... you're all alone."
The ground gave away under me and I fell into darkness. It didn't hurt when I hit the ground but I stumbled.
"I'm not! " I screamed and it echoed.
"You still love him." , "No I don't. ...He lied to me." I answered with a shaking voice.
A spotlight turned on and revealed Tim. He hovered over the ground totally limp. I wanted to run to him but couldn't move.
"Than why does he have the power to hurt you so much?" She asked I heard her voice like a whisper next to my ear.
"I..", "Come on Marinette. You know. ...Sure you were angry because you were hurt but you knew if something goes wrong...", "He's got me." I whispered finishing her sentence.
"Exactly. Isn't that what he always said to reassure you. But now you've messed up your chance. Like you always do." ,"That's not..." my voice broke.
"Please Marinette...everyone knows you're an accident waiting to happen." , "N-no." I cried.
" Everyone knows that you're worth nothing, you'll always be nothing." She said as she came sprinting towards me.
I turned around to run but didn't make it far.
I tried to fight her off but she started wrapping around me and turned into a snake. When she opened her mouth I could see her fangs.
"No! Wait! " I felt a sharp fang dig itself into my arm.

"It's okay ." I heard a distant voice.
My head started to clear.
I was pressed against someone's chest. I heard a slow and steady heart beat.
"You with me nugget?" Red Hoods distorted voice asked.
Calming down I nodded.
"Thanks.". He let go of me.
"What happened?" I asked wiping my tears away. "Scarecrow and his goons are running a muck. The building is swamped with them. "
"What!?" He shushed me and gave me a syringe . It had a blue liquid inside.
"I need to stay in the building and help. This is the antidote incase you get infected again on the way out. Get away. As far as possible. Understand?"
My heart skipped a beat. "Oh no. Crap! I knew something was off!", " What? What is it?"
I didn't answer and bolted out the door. " Hey no! Come back! Ma....".
My mind was gone '   "Where's Mr.Drakes office?","We have a meeting."   '
I dodged and weaved through the people holding my breath from time to time. I bolted up stairs. I'm such an idiot I knew he didn't have a meeting.

Tim's pov:

In my hand I held the dagger that I managed to take from the monster. They wher both on the ground.
I was still surrounded by darkness. The taunting voice in my head wouldn't stop.
♤.. She hates you....... Did you really think she'd ever love you again?..Haha....
You left her alone with her parents....... What a hero. ......Pathetic.♤
"Shut up! I didn't know!"
♤Is that your excuse for this?♤
All of the sudden I saw something. My heart dropped. Marinette was laying on the ground crying. A few bruises covered her face. ♤You left her with her bully.♤
Her body suddenly shook and she had a pained expression as she let out a scream.
"No! Mari!" I tried to get to her but got stopped after a few steps as if I bumped into a glass wall.
♤With other people that were not good for her.♤
She curled in on herself letting out a painful groan. "Stop it!... Stop hurting her!" I screamed dropping the dagger and banged against the glass. ♤I'm hurting her!?♤ it asked in a loud voice as Marinette's breathing picked up speed.
"Stop! "
♤All of these people hurt her.♤
She cried in pain. Her body tensed up as if electricity went through it. She looked at me with pleading eyes.
♤ But there is one person that almost killed her.♤ The glass changed .
♤...Did you know Tim... that people can die of a broken heart?♤ The voice asked as I staired at my reflection in the mirror.
I sank unto my knees.
It started cackling again. ♤ She gave you everything. Her time, companie,trust, love, heart...... Her body.....♤ It teased.
♤And the one thing you gave her you couldn't even keep. A silly..little... promise. She can't rely on you.♤
The laugh came from behind me. I turned around and saw it. It stalled for a few seconds before it pounced.
♤You're going to be the death of her Tim!!♤ It screamed as it reached me and tried to scratch me.
I caught it of guard by pulling the dagger out from behind me and plunging the weapon deep into it's stomach as one of its nails dug it self into my shoulder.
♤You finally did it.♤It laughed as it disappeared.
...
I blinked as my head started to clear up. The fog lifted as I looked at my shoulder were I saw a syringe.
It felt like a moment frozen in time when we made eye contact.
Marinettes expression was total shock and her mouth slightly open sounding like she was choking on air. My gaze fell upon her stomach where I still held the shaft of the knife which I had driven into her.
