Denith is seen talking to Pearl about the upcoming vacation.

Pearl: "The vacation is in a few months, so be sure to invite anyone you can."

Denith: "Is it cool if I invite Trace?"

Pearl: "Sorry, who?"

Denith: "One of my friends, he's a Luxray."

Pearl: "Sure, that's fine."

A Pelipper was flying above to deliver mail, as Pelippers do, but when this one spotted Denith it flew down to personally give him two letters..

Pelipper: "Mail for Denith."

Denith: "Ah, thanks."

Denith opens the note and reads that they were from Trace and the Mayor of the town.

Denith: "Speak of the Devil, Trace wants to meet up for something. I gotta go, I'll be back later tonight."

Pearl: "Alright, see you later."

Denith: "Yup."

Denith begins the trek to the lab, wondering what Trace could want.

Denith arrives at the lab where Robert and Trace were reading, well, readings.

Denith: "Hey doc, hey Tracy, what's Poppin?"

Trace cringes at the name drop.

Trace: *whisper* "I would prefer if you didn't say my real name..."

Robert: "Uhm, I don't know what's 'Poppin' but there are berserk readings 'popping' up on a village dangerously close to town"

Denith: 'I gotta stop using modern slang so much, I sound insane.' "How much time is left before contact?"

Trace: "I'd say approximately, 2 days."

Denith: "Cool."

Robert and Trace look at Denith bewildered.

Denith: "Well, not cool, but it's nice to have prep time, You know?"

Trace nods, only half believing the Eevee.

Trace: "Uhuh."

Denith: "I have other things to do today, like watching over the release of some prisoners we caught a while back. Remember the Tres Kantós?"

Trace: "Oh yeah, but weren't there only two of them?"

Denith: "The city wants me to be there to make sure nothing horrible happens."

Trace: "Why didn't I get an invitation?"

Robert: "Oh, I forgot. You did get an invitation."

Robert hands Trace the letter from the city.

Trace: "Oh."

Denith: "Don't worry, I got it. I'll handle the release, then come back and deal with... All of this."
